You and your friend may be "pretending" that the friend is a stranger who possibly has evil on his mind but Milky is a dog! His instinct tells him at once whether this other man had evil intentions or not and his instinct also tells him that it is okay with you if he goes with this other person. You cannot fool a dog like this!
This reminds me of a test that people were giving their dogs many years ago. The test was that you would stretch out on the floor and pretend to be dead. If your dog had a gentle disposition he supposedly would lick you to try to get you to "wake up". If he did not have a gentle disposition he might get so excited over your being unmoving on the floor that he would try to bite you. A lot of people were using this to test their dog's disposition. One guy said that he was having pizza at the coffee table in his living room and he suddenly just fell over and laid there unmoving. He said his dog sniffed at him a couple of times to see what was going on and then he ate the pizza and walked out of the room!

In my expirience many dogs wont go with strangers and even not with some friends of the family so when i was young and was going with neighbor dogs we needed some walks together before they started to follow me otherwise they would follow me a short distance just to look for their owners in the video.
Dogs think everyone is good as they are.....but really not.
Not mine. Hates them until he knows they can be trusted, or if anyone gets close enough to pet them with affection.
Mine distrusts all strangers until they've proven themselves trustworthy.
This is why people don't keep samoyed as guard dogs. They're too nice and friendly 😂😂😂
