Milky is such a good boy, but dogs are generally warm and friendly, so I wasn't surprised seeing his reaction. GB though...the ending is a typical cat reaction, well, actually the reaction of a cat with GOOD temperament. But I can't when he lied down voluntarily, and showed his belly to his owner!! It shows deep love and trust towards his hooman...owner is such a lucky cat-parent!!

I think you have to start very early with a kitten to get them to really cling, otherwise, they are your regular mouser. My cat behaves like a cat, but also has dog tendencies and I attribute this to holding her and spending a lot of time with her as a kitten. She turns 14 this month, and that cat STILL FOLLOWS me everywhere I go, wanting pets and hugs and cuddles. She’s the best animal I could have ever asked for. 💯 %. Oh, and I cannot forget my dog either, but the cat is more cuddly! And I agree with your last statement! 😍

Yes they are, my therapy cats always impress people with how much they let me hold them and carry them around. Mine were trained as kittens to cuddle and lay on me when they sense distress. They saved me from myself many times.

When I was younger I was crying I went to my cat and cried on his chest he was literally rubbing on me to make me feel better
I had a dog that literally hugged me for real. I'd be sitting on the floor and she'd raise up, and put one paw/front leg on one shoulder/neck and the other on the other. I had a SEVERE toothache once and I'll never forget how she came over to comfort me giving me a hug. She was one in a million.

Four years ago I took in a stray cat because he looked so much like my old childhood friend...once you have been close to a pet they touch you in a way that will last your entire life.

It's not the length of time, it's the way you hold them. Doggo didn't like being in an awkward position with his head, and cats don't like when you trap their legs. Otherwise they both enjoyed it.

We also had a cat in our family, he recently passed away after 22 joyful years, and i really can't see myself adopting another pet animal ever, i just can't go through that pain again.

My family got a dog when I was 11 and he immediately chose me as his human. He was my only friend growing up and the best friend I ever had to this day. He died from heart disease when I was 23 and I went through a bout of major depression for over a year afterward. I still miss him. So, yeah. Definitely agree with you. But I wouldn't trade my time with him for anything.
