@@ICE0124 Why would it affect this? MC uses separate mobcaps for different types of mob. Considering the Allay seems like a pet mob, it's probably going to use the passive mobcap rather than the hostile mobcap. Also any named mobs don't count towards any mobcap at all, so there's that too

@@jakubsolar4670 it could've been like a trace for lush caves like for example there will be a small chance for you to find a glow berry in a chest and if you give it to an allay it will find a lush cave for you and also it could've been a flower farm where when you want a specific flower just give it a flower that you want and it will find matching ones for you and come back to give it to you not like duplicating diamonds

I find the Allay to be a bit more useful than the glare for one or two reasons:
1) it gathers items to save inventory space
2) it brings back more of the same item off of the ground
3) it’s freaking adorable!

But the glare let’s you know when mobs gonna spawn. I mean, that’s much more useful. The allay just seems like an exploit that just gets more items, yes it’s useful but items are already a focused topic in updates. We need more things in the dark. And also, the glare looks pretty cute too.

it's basically a cute vaccum hopper
Imagine the game gets a special rod that is for commanding the allay. You could make a task line where the allay would put food in a furnace and then put it in a chest.
That would be so cool if you could automate things without the allay potentially wandering around. I'm guessing that if they actually added a control wand, they'd make it dungeon loot, like in an end city or something, to balance things out. Maybe this idea will become a mod someday.
Or put the food into a dispenser that another alley can pick up and move to a chest

Before everyone starts talking about how “overpowered” this mob is, I believe the implication is that it collects dropped items, not materialize them for you, or mine blocks. Pretty sure this thing doesn’t mine diamonds, but might improve farming and redstone!

You have to manually give it an item to gather first every time you want it to gather something, so you can't really make an AFK/auto farm with it.
They should add the Copper Golem, it has a lot of potential
