Having played this game for over 12 years I really enjoy the mojang devs connection with the community and them asking for feedback. Minecraft has came a long ways since the beginning and for the better!

You can trust a company, when they hang up childrens drawing and really think about it putting the wishes into the game.

but they have to really think about it because there's a reason they cant add sharks because people would just be disappointed if there not hostile and if there hostile then kids are going to grow up thinking sharks are dangerous when there really not

@@rKizCora_main I think what they were talking bout was that Mojang don't want to add sharks to the game cause people would expect them to be hostile. Even if irl sharks are rarely harmful to humans. They don't want to add upon that misconception. I don't know if that's the actual reason tho.

I love videos like this. It reminds me that even though Mojang is owned and funded by Microsoft, Mojang is still, at heart, an indie studio that listens to its community closely

Sadly Mojang stated that they would never add sharks and ducks because of how similar they are compared to chicken and dolphins.

Hey Minecraft, I know it might be a bit soon to think about 1.19, but I had an idea I'd like you to consider: a frost and snow update, focusing on all the colder aspects of Minecraft like ice spikes, tundras, snowy hills and all the others. I think it would be really cool to add carved ice (kind of like chiseled and carved stone to be able to make an ice castle kind of build), maybe some new mobs like penguins or different fish that only live in cold areas like sardines, and new structures like camps on the ice, places where ice was mined for building, and ancient camps/buildings frozen in ice. Thanks for all the work you do for us!
If they do this they wouldn't be able to add carving anyway because it would lose the minecraft feel to it by able to have circles or semi circles

Seeing how outstanding current terrain generation is in the 1.18 test snapshots you guys were providing, I highly recommend adding waterfalls and underground rivers to the bunch. Adding those magestic wonders of nature to the game will provide us with even better terrain to build bases or other structures on and will of course boost our thirst for explorations.

I think being able to boat on a river that tunnels straight through a mountain, only lit up by the glow lichen on the cave walls and the glow squids in the water. You could emerge from a cascading waterfall on the other end, a majestic sight hiding a secret water filled cave.
They've said that waterfalls are too difficult for this update, however, that doesn't mean they won't come, just that it'll take a while. I feel like it's also the same with underground rivers
but then people would expect treasure behind each waterfall /j
I have played this game on the PS3 since 2013 and on PC since 2019 and I can say that this is the biggest Update yet and I am hyped for it!

I think 1.19 will be a minor update, just like 1.15. Mojang are gonna have some rest after such a huge update.

I got the game thinking it was a kid's game to see what the fuss was about. bear in mind I'm 48. but depending on how hard you put the difficulty in single player I put it up against any horror game great job genuinely.
You could add a block-climbing feature with (example) only gold pickaxes, since the new mountains will be massive, a new way to escalate them with more ease would be very appreciated by the community (I hope)
You could Also add new structures that ressemble abandonded mountain shelters/shacks in which you would find an uncraftable mountain pick like the One I mentionned before

Props to the Mojang team for being so active and open on the community side of things, it really feels like there are actual humans behind the game we all love.
You can only say that about the java team. The bedrock team really only cares about maintaining their in-house marketplace and microtransactions.

The Sandy Update: Adds an Oasis Biome with new palm trees. Beaches will also will have palm trees. Palm wood would be a tan shade in-between birch and oak. It would make players want to build a beach-house.

My suggestion for pirate illagers has gained a lot of traction. Whenever archaeology gets put into the game, perhaps pirates could be added at the same time.

You can't have vertical slabs, auto crop farms (Bedrock), Banner Shields (Bedrock), Ropes without abusing animals, have a mob vote that won't be rigged, stable Bedrock Realms, The ability to use paid DLC Addon content from stuff like the Batman DLC outside of the map it's made for, custom Skins on console (not the character creator), A 3DS port that isn't abandoned almost instantly by the devs and Hostile realistic mobs like a shark.

I've been playing Minecraft for almost 7 years now and I play PE and Bedrock in my phone. Through the years the Minecraft keeps on adding new ideas and I really really like it!!
From my testing with the 1.17 preview caves I really enjoyed how the big caves not only met with each other and with the surface but also when they're within a few blocks of each other. So I'm swimming through a flooded cave, I hear a zombie below me, mine down, and now I'm in a whole new cave. Or the reverse, I see water dripping from the ceiling, investigate, it's a big flooded cave! I love these moments of discovery. I had heard suggested more opportunities like this such as caves deliberately hidden behind gravel.
And thinking to the structures that generate down there, I do like the touchups to the mineshafts, and do wonder if it's finally time to tweak dungeons? They're very plain, with the main appeal being the monster spawner, but what if we had additional spawners that were "fragile" and broke after a set number of monsters? This could allow structures to use spawners liberally without worrying about them being mass-farmed.

I would love to see the warden become overwhealmed and confused, maybe even stunned if there is too much noise, I dont know how much noise or how you would implement such a thing but it would give players who accidently awaken it without knowing what it was (for example new players) a way to get away

Been playing the experimental snapshots and lost track of time just exploring and making a cute cottage on top of a meadow biome, because it feels so peaceful to play and build in. Oh my goodness I really wanted to watch this video and forgot!!! I appreciate all of the work you have put into Minecraft. I remember when the Nether update was coming out I really wanted nether gold. In my mind it works perfectly for the lore of the golden tools and improves the mining in the nether, but I assumed the amount of people who wanted it was far to small to be noticed. I was wrong, and when it was added I almost felt like I specifically was being listened to, it was incredible. The cave update was something I heard many people wanted and this whole update is a love letter to the fans.(I suppose all updates are though lol). I just wanted to say all of this because sometimes I fear our requests and complaints might come across as…not the nicest… and I just wanted to say thanks. I’ll probably ask for features and bug fixes again in a different video, but I wanted to say thanks….again!

Same here! I'm so so glad they're giving themselves time to get things right and not crunch or anything. Agnes and the rest of the team are so nice, I felt so awful seeing her like that :( Especially knowing how an unfortunately large portion of the community seem hellbent on making a fuss over every single thing the team does (or doesn't) do.
Agreed, although the game is great, health is more important. It shows though, just how much the devs are willing to put into this game, for so many of them you can see it's not just their job, it's their passion project - something other companies could really learn from.

Minecraft is the best game ever. It is super simple, yet so fun and very creative. The game is more popular now than ever and it's popularity keeps growing because they actually engage their community which no other game really does. They really care for the community, and that's heart warming :)
On the surface, I do think a simple change to avoid making the overworld too difficult too hard to navigate would simply be craftable saddles involving 5 leather, 2 tripwire hooks, and a string. A grappling hook is something I've wanted for a while but of course that would take more dev time and balancing. In an average 1.17 world I generally find my first saddle in the nether fortress or on a wandering strider.

Speaking of Minecraft ideas, I just got done playing the Terralith pack which had some brilliant cave biome variations. From simpler choices like diorite and granite caves to ice and magma caves and new geodes like the rare emerald geode, it all blended well and I'd love some more cave biomes in 1.18 or beyond.

1.18 is dope. I want more cave biomes to have just a little more variation but I still love the features we're getting. Really excited to see the secrets of the deep dark. Then 1.19 theme is gonna be revealed next month??? If it's a end or general overworld/adventure update I'd fall in love with minecraft even more than I've been for so many years.

I have to admit, Working Together with the community in any game would work best and create an awsome update.
minecraft could add a few more bosses, like a dragon (ice, fire or elemental), a giant
just to have a post game dps of ender dragon that would have a continuation on the end or nether
like, there would be a passage in nether that unlocks after defeating ender dragon, and when you defeat him, he drops a key, because like, ender dragon is the most boring boss
it doesn't drop anything but xp
and when we defeat the 2 dragon (fire, ice or elemental), it opens a portal to another dimension, and there would be a post game of the post game, like aether, like

Hi Mojang! First I want to say that I couldn't honestly put into words just how excited I am about this update. Finally Minecraft is getting the inspirational terrain that I've always wanted it to have. Mountain ranges, river valleys, beaches, I have so many ideas about what to build :D I am a builder first and foremost, and have been keeping myself busy constructing a city on a flat swamp plain, because I have been waiting for the mountains to get upgraded for a long time - I wanted to save my designs for terrain that complements them.
But now, we're getting what I always wanted! I knew we'd get this eventually.
However, and this took me by surprise - the underworld, and the deep dark! WOW! As a long time Skyrim player, I just KNOW that I will spend countless hours underground, and enjoy mining again. Could it be that Minecraft will now have every gameplay element I want in a game? It really looks like it! I haven't gone caving in years, but now I can't wait to spend long evenings underground, exploring an entire new subterranean world :D
I'm glad you delayed this update to do it right (and my city has taken longer than I thought lol!). This really feels like a new era. I'd wait another year for this if I had to, but it looks like you're nearly ready :)
