Buxton's gonna need to be wrapped in bubble wrap for him to make it to enough games
So true tho
Fun fact, Yordan was 3rd in voting last year and Altuve came in 5th place, nobody hit more lead off home runs in 2022 than Jose Altuve
Fun fact, these are dark horse hot takes. I scrolled through these comments knowing that I would see a complaining Astro fan somewhere
Buxton has only played 100+ games once in his career since 2015. No way he's going to compete for MVP based on that trend. He'll need to be mechanically reconstructed if he wants to play all season.
As long as Ohtani stays healthy and continues to play two-way, he is the MVP. The only way to beat him is to have a historic performance like Judge did last year. But if Ohtani's pitching and hitting are both better than ever, it's game over.
It its like that it's stupid, not fair!! Othani every season he going to be a pitcher and batter so just fo that the y have to give him the MVP?? So it's doesn't count the other numbers
Nope
@@thelastaavenger3370 There is a metric called WAR that is more accurate than your ridiculous subjectivity. According to that metric, the only person who exceeded Ohtani last year was Judge, and as you know, he was the MVP. Ohtani is not cheating to get that number, he is actually playing two-way, so of course he will be evaluated fairly.
@KanetsuguNaoe1112 the MVP is not for WAR only, if every year Othani has a good season even he is not the best batter or pitcher so what is the point just give them the MVP every year

Even if he doesn’t get there Seager is bound to have a monster season
Gonna assume Julio wasn't included because he's one of the favorites, not a dark horse, right MLB?
Here’s what people need to learn about Byron Buxton. He will probably will only play in half of the games: 81. In half of the games that he DOES play, he will probably only DH and not play center field: 41. In those 41 games , he is still limited by the Twins management to not steal bases and is not encouraged to dive for balls as much as he is.
The dude is pure glass and it’s amazing that his career isn’t over. He is super talented, but is completely showered with injury precautions. He will never be MVP.
professional byron buxton hater
@@akjdhajkdjhaghjkadh9804 How is that comment hate? The dude is pointing out facts and Buxton has only had flashes of being a great player. You need to be consistently great to win MVP
If I had to anticipate which player will have the best season out of the group highlighted here, I say Buxton or Yoshida, no question. They’re both going to surprise people.
if buxton plays 135+ games
You have to play more than 90 games to be mvp
More like 120
@@LouieOcean2i think bro was taking a shot at Buxton
Where’s José Ramirez??!!
not a dark horse
Byron hitting 40 this year
If Only Buxton was not made of glass
What about Julio Rodriguez, or Rozerana
These are hot takes, Rozarana mabey but Julio was on the list for top five MVP candidates going into 2023
Javier💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
steal the mvp? last time I checked it was earned🙄
Why you mad at the caption of a video 😂
Steal or earn? 🤔🤔
Harold Castro
He’s a stud no doubt pin me if you agree mlb,
I’m talkin bout Adley
Seager and Bux are the only teo they deserve to be in this list
Austin Riley
Yall didnt even make a video on the NL mvp candidates smdh
I wouldn't call Buxton a dark horse. If he could just stay healthy, he'd be a front-runner every year.
No on both of those things.
@@AnimeBronx Would you care to elaborate? Your post doesn't really communicate anything of value.
100%. People don’t understand how good the dude is.
Wander franco?? Come on!!! He don't have the numbers for be a MVP
Actually in Japan, many of NPB OB commentators admired Yoshida's batting skill than NPB 3-crown hitter Murakami. There is no doubt that Yoshida's batting skill is the best in NPB.
It's not strange that He'll do well than Matsui Hideki🦖
He will at least win rookie of the year for sure
🎉🎉🎉

There's a lot of lefties
Buxton hit .224 last season. On what planet is that MVP caliber? He isn't even good let alone an MVP.
No disrespect to the players but MVP is gonna be won by whoever MLB decides to 'help' aka provide with juiced balls or whatever else they have up their sleeves. Ohtani had 30+ HR, 200+ Ks and a historic achievement (1st in MLB history to qualify as batter and pitcher) and MLB and it's outlets sh"t on him for months. Rigged sport.
