I really love these daily Highlights of all 15 games played everyday. What it has done for me is to really appreciate all the great baseball played by every team every day, not just the Yankees. And not just the stars, but the wonderful athleticism from all these fit young men. However, it does really point a finger at the one part of baseball that is not performed professionally. That is calling ball and strikes. Watching what the umpires have been doing to Shohei Ohtani in particular when he is batting is embarrassing. He would be leading all of MLB on walks if the umpires could do their jobs as well as the players.

My heart sank so fast when I saw Maton coming out of the bullpen in the 10th. Time to lose this guy, our bullpen is elite. Maton doesn’t have it anymore.
Indeed. But it was DUSTY'S fault for putting him out there in the 10th. So I blame HIM for yet another bone-headed move and costing us the game. Other dumb moves: starting Yuli instead of Mancini and Dubon instead of Diaz in the game. Time to bench them and relagate them (Yuli and Dubon) to mop-up duty such as blow-out games (winning or losing).
The offense lost this game just like 30 other games this year
