This was my first time at a opening day game and wow. It felt like a playoff game. The vibes were immaculate all 9 innings

One of my favorite Parts about this game is that it actually started raining about Midway through. Back in the day, this would have spelled a very lengthy game delay. But now that we have a retractable roof, they bury with a play through and get the win. I love the new stadium. This is going to be a phenomenal season.

Why does it take so long for mlb highlights/videos to be edited and uploaded?! Game finished at 9pm and the vid is available at 11pm? Other sports (nba, nfl)recaps/ highlights are up about 10-15mins after the games are done. Damn. They should have a time clock for this as well!😅
I hate those offbrand Vietnamese pages because they have no concept of editing. The highlights start in the 4th inning after teams have scored…mlb waits 5 hours.
There are some that jump between innings too.

GREAT, GREAT Opening Day win by the Rangers making it 10 straight wins over the reigning National League champion, Phillies! This is the Rangers' first opening day win since 2020 and the first opening day win in a full 162-game regular season since 2016 (the last time they won the AL West Division title and made the postseason). This is the first time they currently have an above .500 record since August 15, 2020.
Rangers are my AL team, Pirates are my NL. Hopefully they can both do something this year!

deGrom is done. When he throws 70+ pitches in 3.2 innings you can tell he doesn't have his stuff anymore and he doesn't want to risk his shoulder. His heat doesn't last long and can't throw hard enough for the command. All he really had last year was the slider, lay off that and pick your swings and you'll blast him all over.
I think you are probably right. I remember he was awful at the end of season for the Mets and average in the playoff. I hope for the Texas Rangers that he will be back and that he will pitch like a real Cy Young winner.
