Cease really shut down my Astros' batters today, and even after Cease left, the White Sox bullpen really continued to shut down the Astros even though Yordan got a home run. Congrats to the White Sox on getting the win today, this was a very good game

Besides adding Abreu at first they really didn't address other needs via free agency. That was a center fielder, back up catcher, and utility players. Those are basically: Diaz Salazar Meyers McCormick Hensley and Corey Julks, AAA players. Chas and Dubon will do fine. Hensley better hit. Meyers stinks. I have no idea why Diaz is our rookie designated hitter

Now that it’s September and idk what’s gonna happen with the Astros, I don’t think I’ll ever forgive Dusty for starting jake meyers on opening day over Chas McCormick who saved game 5 of the World Series AND is one of the biggest factors in winning that ring. meyers did nothing to wear the gold. McCormick went from a “nobody” to most baseball fans to one of the best outfielders in the game, and the person that has disrespected him the most has been his own manager for not starting him everyday in center field.

Why does it take so long for mlb highlights/videos to be edited and uploaded?! Game finished at 9pm and the vid is available at 11pm? Other sports (nba, nfl)recaps/ highlights are up about 10-15mins after the games are done. Damn. They should have a time clock for this as well!😅
They did worse last year. It took three or four hours after a game finished for them to post the highlights.
But that's what you get with a free video. You get what you pay for. I'm grateful we have this option.

Until this loss today, the Astros were tied for most consecutive opening day victories, with 10. They still have the record for the modern era, as the other team (the Braves, known then as the Beaneaters) set the record from 1887 to 1896. It’s a bummer they couldn’t outright break it, but this is far from the end of the season.

I agree Eloy has to play much better! He is doing the same things he did last year which is swing at bad piches and watch strikes! The Sox don't have a relief pitcher and they will need to score more runs then they did last year and the year before! Leaving 10 plus runners on base and having the bases load with no outs and you can't get one or two runs across is very bad! Teams that plan to compete for Championships have expectations!!

@@KendallLitwin Their base running was atrocious in the 1st game! 1st and 2nd and no outs ground ball to 3rd you can't go if it's hit directly at the 3rd baseman! Also the 3rd baseman has a ball go under the 1st baseman glove and he goes for 3rd base looking like he is carrying a car on his back! He gets thrown out at 3rd! This team cannot continue to make those bad mistakes!!

I'm not getting excited because this team must show it can consistently play well, which was a huge problem last year. Their up and down play last year was frustrating to watch. Cease was on fire and it was a great team win! We will be destroyed tonight because Lynn has a 0-5 record with nearly 7.00 ERA vs the Astros. Unless Lynn can throw something other than fastballs. The Astros are the best fastball hitting team in MLB. I would be happy if we split the series.
