@Slimextendogang Still the most insane knockout ever to me. Zombie was dominating up till that point, it’s like in Tekken where you’re about to end your opponent on 1 percent health left on his bar and he pulls a miracle combo and defeats you.

I'd like to see frankie in either bellator or eagle fc.. I think he still has alot to do . Or he could go the coaching route. He has so much knowledge...ppl that say he's washed up but look at the guy's he lost to recently.. zombie , vera, ortega was a bit ago. They are all great fighters in their own right.

Ref was late to stop it he was done the first time he went down when Edgar got up he could barely stand
The team and trainer almost never throw the towel. But it's their responsibility to not let their fighter take unnecessary damage.

@Synchrojikan yea but the ref has to see that. We have the privilege as the audience of all of the best camera angles and slow motion replay. If the ref can't see that you're not defending yourself then he can't stop the fight.
@Benson Tenson he wasn't defending shit. He took MULTIPLE straight unprotected, unblocked shots to the head. That's not defending yourself. Fight should have ended.
Idk wtf are you on, it was a perfect stoppage. Ref gave him enough of a chance to fight back and grt bsck in gear but when he got knocked down to the ground the 2nd time, that's when the perfect time to stop the fight was.

Frankie is one of the true greats, but unfortunately he is one of those guys that the wars he has been through have taken a toll on him. I hope he gets out before it's too late.
The crazy thing is he barely used any energy in this fight. I hope he beats Volk but Volk is amazing so it'll be very hard.

Brah; I’ve seen this man win and lose. Fall into trenches and climb back out. I would love if he snatched the belt at least once, he deserves it. Unlike other fighters who claim they the best cuz they get bloodied up and still grind; respect of course. It’s one thing to bleed it’s another to actually finish the opposition through a dog fight. Man is 40, and a lot of his fights are against 20-30yr olds in their prime, last fight was against a 29yr old. He should pursue a career in coaching and be the head coach of wrestling at Toms River East if possible to have it come full circle. Very nice and humble guy but unfortunately time catches up to you and to go in thinking you have a shot against the blood hungry bucks will just tarnish what you made over the years. He should retire and do what I said but the man is a mad man training to be called up at any point he will never say no at a shot.

@Huy Nguyễn Quang his family and especially wife is very supportive. There is a short documentary flo did on him and I known him for years as he coaches my cousin wrestling. Guy is very passionate towards wrestling and mma.
Time is something we have no control over. Frankie is by all rights an excellent fighter and champion. Unfortunately for him, he nearing the end of his career, where the K.Z. is on an upward swing. They're both great fighters, though.
Maybe that’s his passion and his family supports that

The fight shouldn't be over until someone gets knocked out or quits. If your soft little eyes can't handle it maybe you should start watching table tennis or golf. This is what they train for, many ppl have taken beatings and came back, I'm sure they know the risk of the sport

@Thomas Vizcainco Rasta is correct. It's called "Intelligent defending". If you are not showing signs you want to continue, you can stop movement and ref Will stop it because you can't keep on going. But compare it to Charles Olivera where he got knocked down and was badly hurt but kept moving his head on the ground. Then came back and won the belt. You should watch Herb Dean's podcast with rogan he explains it. Also, it depends on the stakes at hand. for example a lower rank debut will get faster stoppage, but higher ranked fighters, will want any inch of advantage so they let them keep going if they show any sign they are still there. They realize this and a lot of times you will see a fighter talking to ref before fight saying don't stop it. And please don't take this the wrong way but this sport is not for the soft hearted.
