@mimo lol no. Just close friends. They met on a music group project about idols from each generation called Refund Sisters. Hwasa was the maknae so she was the youngest of the 4 women. It included Uhm Jung-Hwa, Lee Hyori and Jessi. There are clip here on YT if you're interested.

This is literally one of the best, if not the best, interviews ever! You can see the absolutely beautiful chemistry between not just Jessi and Hwasa but also with the staff. You can hear everyone laughing so hard every five minutes. I have tears in my eyes. Hwasa is such a genuine and likable person tbh and I love her for her honesty and love she gives to everyone. Jess was as always phenomenal!
Hwasa is seriously gorgeous, her beauty isn't regular/basic. It's your everyday beauty, its unique and in a league of its own. She ain't pretty, she ain't cute; she IS BEAUTIFUL and that coupled with her personality, makes her an extra ordinary human! I could seriously look at her all day!!!

This was hilarious to watch. As someone who is learning Korean, I definitely feel the same way as Jessi does when it comes to understanding Hwasa. Out of all 4 MAMAMOO members, I have the most difficulty understanding Hwasa because she usually answers in a very abstract/ deep way. Not to mention she speaks really tiny too.

Hwasa is one of the kindest, sweetest, deepest persons there is. It's brilliant that she had to create a stage name because there's a duality where she's fierce on the stage and cute as Hyejin (even though she tries hard no to be π)
I'm so touched to see Jessi receiving Hwasa this well and giving her support. She needs good people around her and Jessi is one of the best. I loved this ep and I'll try to come here whenever I need to laugh or just miss Hwasa.

This was one of the most fun eps. Everyone wanted to see them together and when they ended up on Refund Sisters people expected them to fight as they are quite similar and Hwasa can hold her own against Jessi but they showed how strong women, with different opinions can still be friends and support each other. Personally I love Hwasa's style and her expressions are amazing. I love how this show shows the vulnerable side of idols because Jessi as an MC makes the guest comfortable enough.

Hwasa is a new beauty standard all on her own! I fell out with Kpop back then but when I saw her, she drew me back into Kpop. There are so many pretty idols and pretty people but they all look the same. And then there's Hwasa. Unique, different, and her looks are absolutely gorgeous!
