달리와 감자탕 OST Part.8 ‘GIFT’는 CHAI(이수정)의 애틋한 목소리와 잔잔한 어쿠스틱 반주가 어우러져 따뜻한 분위기를 자아내는 곡으로, 극 중 ‘무학’(김민재 분)과 ‘달리’(박규영 분)의 서사처럼 역경을 함께 헤쳐 나가는 과정 속에 더해져 가는 설렘의 감정을 담아냈다.
'CHAI(이수정)'는 국내에선 ‘K팝 스타 시즌5’ 역대 최초 만점을 기록한 우승자로 강렬한 인상을 남기며 대중에게 알려지기 시작했다. 이후, 데뷔 앨범 [Give and Take]를 기점으로 [Gimme That], [Time’s Up]에서 매혹적이고 감각적인 무드, 자신의 강점을 살려낸 음악으로 리스너들의 많은 사랑을 받았으며, 최근 싱글 앨범 [Wondering]을 발표한 바, 이번 앨범에서도 CHAI(이수정)만의 세련된 감각의 그루브 넘치는 음악성을 확인할 수 있다.
한편 이번 앨범은 앞서 달리와 감자탕 OST Part.6 ‘U Hoo Hoo’에서 완벽한 케미를 선보였던 프로듀싱팀 ‘메이져리거’와 ‘Lovelyee’, ‘Hodge’가 다시금 뭉치며 극 중 인물들의 사랑스러운 감정에 스며드는 다정다감한 OST를 완성시켰다.
