Is meaning of shifting is exit from the small/large cap. And entry to the large/small cap. ,
I think in mutual fund switching is not good, its better to select and invest in two or three best mutual funds,, one Large Cap, one Flexi Cap and one small cap and leave it for long term 5 to 15 years. Long term is best in case of mutual fund.

Sir, Samajh nahi aaya ki jab market tute to switch kar jao large cap to mid cap bt what happen if i switch to mid cap and mkt rapidly down to hell! As per my points of view , i think should be remain in large cap during mkt fell down more than 20% and invest lump sump in small cap and mid cap too...M i right sir?

When NAV drops increase your investment, it's that simple
If u r investing since long the frequent switching from mid to large or vise varsa will be difficult, coz after switching the invested amt duration in new fund will become new, its past duration ends here. Whe swithing, fund will become new one.
