This thing looks really cool and huge! Nothing "mini" about this van. From the design alone it looks like it could be an EV so I wouldn't be surprised to see an EV version.

Has great potential for camping modifications
Basically Hyundai's version of the sprinter van. Can't wait to see conversions to a activity vehicle or even a camping vehicle conversion. Block of tofu is right.😁

This is the coolest looking minivan ever, with the possible exception of the Renault Espace F1. It very much looks like a concept car.

Yes. Also Hyundai took some design ideas from Toyota Previa . I love that koreans are very brave with designs. Front end I'm still not sure ,but side profile and the back are just beautifuly simple .

One of the things I live about #Hyundai is that they are bold with designs. For example-
when they launched the new gen #creta (in India), some people criticised it's front design but it's been sold in very high numbers and now people are in love with it.
Their #venue design was also very fresh.
The exterior looks like minivan in the 80's just a bit bigger.

I think the long wheel base is an indication that there will be an EV version. It also shares some designs from the Ioniq 5.

That van looks really amazing! It would be a beast if Hyundai release the N version of this with T-GDI either a 2.0 from the i30N or the 2.5 from the Sonata. That is, if it fits.. that engine bay is so damn full with that 2.2 turbo diesel.
It became my best car since they've launched the class series, STARIA lounge 7 seater's ( the 2 relaxation seat) type, white color is my dream ☺️.

@@jrq3rq Actually, I do. You're working from an emotional reaction with your original statement, but I'm working from a knowledge that minivans are not big sellers in the US. Hyundai/Kia are giving us the Carnival in the US but that can be offset by the fact that their cars/SUVs sell reasonable well. There would have to be some extensive bumper rework in order for this van to actually make it through US DOT specs, plus possibly other changes, which is why it won't come to the US. The Carnival is already a 'derivative' off the already tested Sedona platform, and it's design makes it more 'US standards friendly' than the Staria.

if you have fewer elements, the shape of each matters more.
this barely has any elements, but the few that are there are misshapen, badly proportioned and generally awful.

Looks like Ford transit van got a competitor. Great for vanpool or private tour trips. Also, I'm thinking of camping with this van.
My family used to have a really old dodge widebody camper van, like the ones used for ambulances in the 70s I think.

It’s a funky transit , I’m surprised they haven’t specified it to phev from day 1 and really missed a trick by not offering conventional windows down and next gen power train options

Yes, you can choose either a cargo van version or a lounge version. Unfortunately, there is no plan to introduce this Staria to North American market at the moment :-(
Damn, I wished they'd bring these to the US. It seats more people than any SUV here and looks so futuristic.
Nice review, thank you. Will Hyundai offer this model in the U.S. sometime in the future? I think it could be very popular, but I think the Diesel engine is less popular in the U.S. due to many Americans preferring "greener" engines, like the new Toyota Sienna hybrid. But, I really like the futuristic design, roominess, and utility of the Staria.
The Staria will go on sale, sadly outside the US only :-(

The Chrysler Town & Country sold so well because of the big boxy shape with lots of comfortable room inside for the driver.
So I can see that this Staria will be a big seller too !
May I just say I like the overall size of this vehicle but when you have a vehicle this size it can tend to look plain. I can really Envision this vehicle being wrapped in a transparent design that would not affect the side windows but would give you excellent graphics on the whole outside of the vehicle and in the future models I would love to see a more integrated dashboard that includes a display that goes literally from the driver side all the way over to the passenger side using the latest in technology using HD side interior mirrors left and right both interior outside edges with large screens cameras and also have a permanent rear-view camera display in front of the passenger that the driver could see with a glance in the middle would be the usual map in Android auto but I would make the viewing screen much larger so again it's just easy to look at a glance the AC controls would be below that in the center and then the usual speedometer tachometer front of the driver along with gas coolant and you really should have the rear tail lights and the front turn signals wraparound more to the sides of the vehicle with your current design it's great for head-on or someone approaching a vehicle from the rear but for cross traffic is almost impossible to see the vehicle especially if it's a dark vehicle at night I hope you take some of this in consideration and consider it for your next upcoming models I do enjoy your company very much and I know you're very intuitive to your Market I have actually seen and no of Myself by driving your products your constant literal drive to always go forward improving as you go never giving up quality always offering affordability at the same time along with your fantastic warranties it's always prove to your durability so thank you and I hope you consider my comment kindly

It will be replaced, but for the time being, Starex will also be on sale. And it comes with the AWD option, not the 4WD.
