I mean the FDA had only existed for just over a decade and was mostly concerned with making sure companies weren't intentionally adding poison to food so priorities were a bit different. And OSHA wouldn't exist until the 70s.

Facts! Story of every movie, just see the trailers of some movies from 20 years ago, the comments are people saying how this movie is underrated blah blah!
It's a funny movie but the undertones of the story also brings a lot of heart touching subjects like what it is to care for family and being proud of your heritage. Definitely watch this
Maybe that’s because we’ve evolved as a society so that getting married and having kids is not something that people have to do just because. That’s how it was in the era before birth control. Today, it’s something people choose to do only if they really want to. So that may be affecting this trend.
This is the Seth Rogan equivalent of the type of movies Adam Sandler's character in Funny People, George Simmons, did. It id similar in ridiculousness to You Don't Mess With The Zohan.
This movie was a wonderful look into Jewish heritage from a beloved Jewish comedy icon. More honest American immigrant stories need to be made. Upton Sinclair it. 🍖🥩
Thanks for all the love and support. I am blown away by the love from ya'll. I know these are hard times but with love and faith we shall all see the light again 🥰❤️❤️. Love you 🤗.
This is based on the story “Sellout” by Simon Rich. The story itself reads much darker and I’m not super certain whether I like Seth Rogans take on this more than the original. At any rate - kudos to him for taking a shot at this. It looks promising.
@@Why-bc7wl *watches the movie* and the brine was magic this whole tiiiiiime me: ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhit's still dumb
Grandpa Seth sounds like a proper character and not a caricature. This could be okay. Like an actually okay movie that's more than just an elevator pitch stretched over 90 minutes.
This sounds amazing. I’m not even sure if it will be as amazing as the concept itself, but I think the idea is brilliant. Tevye meets a Brooklyn hipster and pickle brine is the key to immortality and time travel. I’m honestly really excited. 🤣🤣🤣
Everyone always says this when there’s another superhero movie or an 80’s remake and you still say it when something original actually happens is there no pleasing anyone? lmao

Just read the short story this is based off called Sell Out by Simon Rich and it's really funny and I highly recommend it. My favorite part is when the old-timey Seth rogan character gets interns: "You cannot murder interns, but other than that, they are the same as mules. You can rob them, abuse them, debase them. There are no limits. When a man agrees to be intern, he is saying, “I am no longer human being with rights, I am like dog or monkey. Use me for labor until my body breaks and then consume all of my meats.”
That's how most trailers are now. Market research shows that the general public prefers knowing what they're getting into. More people will watch if they have a better idea of what will happen.
This seems more of a serious film then a funny one sure some comedy here and there but I like this take Seth Rogan is going for I have been drawn in and I can’t wait to see this movie
In the last half an hour, I've watched about 15 trailers of movies that I've never even heard of, movies that come out in 2020 and almost all of them feature a big star - WHEN THEY DID THIS ?!
Great mention of Polio, people think they have it bad today, never experienced TB and crippling Polio back then. I cried at the end
"In old country we have saying: if man does not throw punch, it's because this man secretly has polio arm"
Well I never thought I would need a melancholic, time traveling, pickle making, Seth Rogen movie. 2020 is truly amazing.
How about 3 years later? Is the time still amazing
A movie for people to choose whether they prefer Seth Rogen with or without beard 🤔
Both.
Hey that’s my uncle warehouse In the trailer
Beard. Definitely
Beard
The real beard is Seths wife.
Rogen has smoked so much weed that he can't say no to anything now.
Goals lol
He actually came up with the plot along with the writer.

I just found this movie in that random DVD bin in the middle of the aisle at Walmart next to the rotisserie chickens.

You're not the only one.
But we’re questioning it so they’ve already won....those sons of bitches.

it’s a new streaming service like hulu and netflix
HBO Max replaced HBO Now as a cableless streaming service.
Would have been more interested to see the grandpa and wife make it in America
Not a comedy, but you may wanna check out FAR & AWAY with Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise directed by Ron Howard. 🤘🏾
This is a Seth Rogen movie so it's all about himself.
It’s called “Avalon” and it’s amazing.
It's called "An American Tail"
yea, I was expecting a sort-of comedy homage to Fiddler on the Roof, with the jewish accent and the flatcaps.
