I love the fact that in this film people actually fight back, like they actually punch and kick ghost face, its a welcome thing to the film
Idk why but I thought they always fought back to a certain degree, but then they would stop for some reason and run.

Agreed. I saw this movie at the movie theatre and I remember finding this the creepiest scene in the movie when I walked out of the theatre and being genuinely creeped out watching this scene. Probably the scariest scene in the movie actually.

How is everyone okay with the fact that she overpowered Arquette and took 3 bullets at point blank range? Even with a vest she'd be down for the count at 110 lbs not to mention struggling to keep up with Dewey lol this scene ruined the movie for me.
I’m glad they finally let Roger L. Jackson do more acting outside of the phone calls. This was Ghostface at his best.

Amber literally nailed it here! She is probably one of the killers with The best kills,i mean,many tried to get dewey but she made sure he wouldnt get back again
Actually Roman in scream 3 could have easily killed dewey if he really wanted to but he wasn't even trying to kill him and he just used dewey and gail as bait to get sydney to come to him. Roman was purely killing out of revenge and dewey and gail were not the real targets but he knew that they were important to sydney; especially dewey. Amber's motive here is very weak; killing just to be famous.

She's the killer with the most illogical kills and moments. Somehow she's in a struggle with Dewey, this frail teenage girl is somehow not bring overpowered by a guy, doesn't matter his age, that just isn't possible.
Also, how lucky she is the writers decided Dewey is the one human on planet earth that doesn't learn from his mistakes and he's reverted back to his Scream 1 self by how he's distracted by his phone rather than shooting Ghostface then answering.
Bruh I loved this scene the sounds ghostface made when the voice changer turned on I was just smiling the whole time he was talking.
Seriously Roger Jackson still has it! Also I really liked seeing Ghostface actually turn on the voice changer before toying with Sam, it was just an all around cool scene.

I’m gonna be honest, I didn’t think it was a voice changer at first. I thought it was a device made to help someone breathe (someone like say….Stu). Unfortunately it wasn’t him, but there’s still time.

I wish they had either moved on without the legacy characters or just stopped the series at 3. Bringing Dewey back to kill him disturbed the equilibrium we had at the end of Scream 3.
When I first watched it , I was so shocked I literally said “Noooo” out loud 😅

This scene made me know that Richie was one of the Ghostfaces. He first of all put up zero fight against Ghostface then he looked back concerned after Dewey shot Ghostface then came and picked him off the floor.
I never picked up on Richie, and was almost certain he wasn’t a killer. But going back and rewatching that part, it’s so blatantly obvious lol
I didn't know it was him, but I had a strong feeling, slight cut on the arm got "knocked out" from the throw from ghost face and gave dewey absolutely no help against Ghostface
he was one of the most obvious killers in the franchise, and the cut on his arm only confirmed my suspicions (same as jill in scream 4)

The way GF/Amber walks out the room after Tara wheel's her way out, that bass score gave me absolute goosebumps. Vert well executed. 👏

I loved Scream 5 and the hospital sequence was classic slasher movie vibes, very Halloween 2 (1981)!!
I somewhere had guessed richie was involved considering how he was treated in this scene, but damn Amber's revelation really took me by surprise. She seemed off but the cast did really great job in this movie.
I also like how you hear Amber grunt before she turns on the voice changer.

Everyone was complaining that the 3 main characters survived the past 4 movies. When Scream 5 is finally the one that had the balls to kill 1 of them off, then everyone complains about that. Bottom line is u just can't win lol

The voice of ghostface is awesome
Ghostface. Of all the slasher movie villains, this is the one that comedic elements belong to since they're human and can be fended off but they're still dangerous and evil murderers. Even if Scream 3 came off as comedic with horror elements, it didn't fully take away Ghostface's ability to be menacing and terrifying.
So many complain about lack of chase scenes, but if people are more likely to fend off murderers than to run, there won't be as much chase scenes and the 1980s played them out. Besides, they don't all need to be long to work as this worked very well since Tara was rolling for her life. David Green didn't incorporate a single one in his Halloween movie and yet it's still very loved.
As for Dewey, he said out of his mouth that he had permanent nerve damage and a limp as a result of his injuries from the Ghostface fights which says how repeated injuries always catch up to you. It was also suggested by others that he may suffer from chronic pain as well which all means he needs extra effort to balance when walking and standing. It didn't help that he was distracted helping Richie and the knife had to bring back distressing memories which meant he was watching it carefully and the most obvious thing was the surprise attack. Once he regained his nerve, Amber couldn't overpower him and had to rely on a distraction to slay Dewey once he shot her down.
This hospital scene amongst all the others demonstrated Tara's character. When her sister revealed she was really her half-sister and her father was one of the original Ghostfaces, she tried to be respectful about wanting to be alone at first. Even then, it was made clear that she only wanted time alone to process that information as there was not an inch of annoyance, anger, hatred, or resentment when Samantha came to her rescue here. The following morning, she correctly said that Samantha can't do anything about Billy being her father and she was not responsible for Tara's father leaving as there was the option of him staying and trying to make things work. Tara's resentment came from Samantha leaving which she could control but she still loved her regardless.

This part also hints that Amber also attacked Tara at the beginning When Amber is first seen at school with the other teenagers, her hair is conspicuously covering up her right shoulder. Later, when the teenagers visit Tara at the hospital, Amber is seen wearing a jacket with a bruise of her right shoulder being visible. This, along with Ghostface telling Sam over the phone during Tara's second attack that "I'll be sure to hit all the organs I missed last time," implies that Amber was indeed the one that attacked Tara at the beginning of the movie.
She goes through so much this poor girl. From being attacked in the beginning to getting away from Ghostface in a wheelchair. Truly terrifying.

Scream is but far my favorite horror franchise and always has got me with the chases. And i sincerely feel this movie was very creative with them and had fun with it in new ways. This wheel chair scene is so tense and in theaters I was on the edge of my seat. Ghost face in the background slowly walking while taunting Sam. Only one outcome we think. Luckily, ghostface just cut power to the secluded floor and not the whole building or the elevator wouldn't have worked
When the killer spared Richie's life it was obvious something funny was going on.
That basically confirmed Richie being the second killer lol.

one of my favourite scenes from any movie has to be this one and tara getting attacked in the house bc I mean Jenna's acting is outstanding
I think it would be interesting if they do keep having two killers if one of them died mid movie. Then you would have a kill not long after revealing there is a second Ghostface. After that, knowing the one killer's identity could give the survivors clues towards discovering who the other killer is.
Yeah or at the very least, caught and then followed by an intense interrogation scene where this time, the revealed killer DOES NOT explain their motive. Would just be fun to have something different. I love the Scream franchise but it’s pretty formulaic.

He’s been shot, stabbed, and nearly beaten to death on multiple occasions over the years, and that’s clearly taken a toll on his health. He’s well past his prime at this point, and Gale’s call caught him off guard.
