You guys are awesome but if there were one thing I'd change it's your use of “Dracula” when you mean “vampire.” Dracula is a particular vampire. It's like if I used the word Lassie to represent all dogs (you could though it's a bit odd and likely to irritate the dog).

@@Ben10man2 not the detective comics line. Those are some of the best Batman stories in a long time. So glad Tynion is on the normal Batman title now. Or at least I think he is. I've taken a break from reading superhero comics atm

I love the rebirth suit - the yellow outline of the bat symbol is a nice compromise between having an oval or not, the touches of purple are a dramatic callback to the OG suit, and the belt looks cool (like a set of fangs) without being overdesigned.

The Batman vs Predator suit has always been one of my favorites.
I'm happy that arkham City made azraels suit look good.
“The Batman” had a cape that was so extra and I love it.
Personal favorite was the suit from the animated series "The Batman." The cape specifically moved so well!

A more lean batman is a better and more believable take than ben Affleck batman. second of all its test footage meaning its not in the actual movie meaning its unfinished so stop crying
This new suit seems to be some sort of armored variation. My guess is they are still doing the Arkham Asylum story that was in Affleck's script.
@@jessec.6876 I agree that a real Batman would be lean, which is more practical than being bulked up like a body builder. I remember watching Ninja Warrior (Japanese version), and they had a body builder guy who they called the "Japanese Superman" - he actually kinda looked like Supes and wore the suit for the show. Anyway, he attempted the course multiple times over the years but never got more than halfway, because his body was just too heavy and too inflexible. The guy who had the easiest run on the course was a sailor who was used to climbing masts on his small fishing boat; he was tough but lean. I think comic books and Arnie movies have given us an unrealistic idea of what a strong body really looks like.

The '89 suit will always be my jam. I was 10 years old and that movie blew my mind. I literally wore out 2 different VHS copies of the movie when it came out. And all the flashlights in the house had cardboard bat signal cutouts taped to the front of them. Great times
My favourite Batsuit is the Batman Arkham Knight suit. Robert Pattinson’s Batsuit is amazing!
They mention the armoured symbol in Arkham night too. Red Hood says to his men to avoid aiming for it, Gordon shoots it when he fakes your death know it's armoured etc.
Also my favourite is the BvS Suit Normal. That leather crossed with Kevlar and visible repair areas from years of crime fighting.
Batman Begins was the best one looks-wise. TDK was the best in functionality.

@Joe Chill Yup. The BB suit actually looked badass in all types of lighting, Ive seen it in person. The stuffed Affleck suit looks comical in JL.
The bvs suit was my favourite. I’m so much more of a fan of grey cloth than weird black rubber armour.

I love the Batsuit we see in the White Knight series by Sean Murphy. My favorite live action one is a tie between the Batfleck suit he wears in the warehouse fight scene and the Knightmare suit. They are just chefs kisses all around to me
As much as I *looooove* the purple gloves and the Neil Adams suit, I always go back to the Beyond suit.
My favorite one you didn’t mention is the Batman Noel suit. It has the perfect cloth quality while still being padded and protective and the bat symbol really stands apart from others
One of my first Batman toys was the Deep Dive Batman. Most iconic.

my favorite's the rebirth batsuit. It's able to perfectly combine the classic fabric look, while seeming like something someone smart as bruce wayne could create. I also love the little gold accents around the logo.
7:10 This picture of Batman’s head on Freddie Mercury’s body to create a Funko Pop of shirtless Batman is a brilliant example of improvisation.

@@RetroIsaac Hugely underrated series. I loved they way that it embraced all the elements that other adaptations considered too cheesy, weird or ridiculous. I'm happy that Diedrich Bader is getting a second shot at Batman in the Harley Quinn series.
I wish they could figure out how to do a cool looking cloth suit. They're just cooler than the armor or... ductape? Ones.
The Battfleck one had kind of a cloth look.
Batman’s look in “Hush” is THE definitive Batman look for me. He’s lean, not too bulky or too thin. It’s simple, it has color, it’s not covered with armor, a proper utility belt, the white eyes, the bluish black cowl and the briefs that brings the whole aesthetic together.
In terms of the 70s, I think Jim Aparo's signature Batman look is as iconic as Neal Adams's. When I was growing up in the 80s and early 90s, a TON of Batman merchandise, especially at the height of '89 Batmania, featured the Aparo Batman.
When people say Neal Adams, about 40% of the time they're talking about Jim Aparo.

I really like the Rebirth suit. The grey suit, black cowl and cape with the inside of the cape being a deep purple, sometimes the gloves/gauntlets are a deep blue and of course that bat logo with the yellowish orange outline. I’d love to see a live action iteration.
The Zur En Arrh suit originally comes from a Silver Age story where an alien scientist is inspired by Bruce's heroics and makes his own Batman suit. He also teleports Bruce to Zur En Arrh where he gets super powers.
Ben Affleck’s BvS suit is the best imo. Comic accurate and just looks amazing and scary.

What's great about the Gotham By Gaslight costume is you can tell it's just a suit that he personally made and put together. You can see the stitching in some panels because there's no one to help him make it, so he does it all himself

I really loved the rebirth Batman suit. The yellow outline of the bat symbol and the inside of his cape being purple just popped for me. I really loved that look. I think it not having the under wear also worked. His current look works as well. I enjoyed the new 52 as well. Or Gotham by gaslight suit is also so damn awesome.

...I hate it, but I don't think it's the suit. The "brick shithouse" body type Affleck put on for that movie doesn't work in live action at all, and for a film and suit with such pretensions to realism, Batman does such dumb things, and looks such like a shocked goldfish in every scene.
@@oscarmccormack1611 you see that's the exact opposite for me. I've always seen batman as a brick shithouse. That's always why I personally couldn't see Christian bale as batman that much since he seemed too gaunt and more lean. (Acting was great however)

Batman's my favorite character so I love so many Batsuits, but while I generally prefer the weaved look like a Batfleck suit, I'm gonna mention the suit in Telltale's The Enemy Within. I think the Enemy Within suit is practically the perfect version of what the Nolanverse suit wanted to be. This sorta "realistic" armor a normal human man would need to wear to not instantly die fighting the likes of Bane and whatnot. I think it still has a sleekness to it that I love about the weave based suits, and I love the bat symbol. Also I think armored batsuits like that are best as early days Batman since I assume the advanced protective weaves are more advanced and represent how refined he is in his practice as the apex vigilante.
Finally waking up early for work pays off.

The Grey Sad Man (2021)
Starring: Robert Pattinson
In Season 2 of the Telltale Batman game there are two versions of the Joker depending on your choices and the vigilante one clearly bases his costume off of Batman. It's pretty great. He has his hair spiked kinda like Batman's cowl, black face paint and Jokerangs, like Batarangs but they're smiles instead of bats. He's a cross between Batman and the Joker, but not exactly evil. The different versions of Batman in DC Metal are all pretty great too. Red Death might be my favorite though.

Also, the Zur'en'arr suit was actually a Silver Age invention, Grant Morrison just repurposed it into the crazy hobo Batman personality for his run 😉.

You have to consider with the film Burton Batsuit, Budget was a thing and older materails were in use. That suit was made from pure Latex so it was heavy and riged. Whereas the Batsuit from 'Batman Returns' was a better, lighter, more breathable and flexible because it was form latex. There's a documentary online only talking about movie batsuits.
Jim Lee and Batman Beyond are my favorite looks

Really like the Arkham game versions where it's basically just a combat suit. He's not running around in spandex, but he's also not stomping around in a mechanical suit.
I really like the OnStar Commerical Batsuit. It's a hybrid of the Val Kilmer Panther Suit from Forever and the George Clooney suit from B&R, sans nipples. It's all black, including the belt, but with the yellow oval, and it just looks so good, especially for a TV commercial.

In the Dark Knight comic, Frank Miller hated the yellow bat symbol on the suit and wanted to draw it without the yellow. But for the trademark reasons, the DC editors told him he had to keep the yellow oval. So when you see it get shot and ruined on his chest, Frank has said that was his way making a point about that requirement. The word balloon about it being a target was just a red herring.
It gets me every time when you say you know it is. Mason is way more absurd, and you are only thing attaching him to reality, and not floating off into the eternal oblivion. Cool beans!
Live action? Batfleck suit is amazing. Overall?? Batman The Animated Series after the redesign.
I used to have an action figure of this "Batman of Zur-En-Arrrh" you mentioned. I never knew until today that's who it was. I just thought some toy designer went a bit crazy with the colours. For some reason as a child I really loved that suit. I would really like to see a movie adaptation of that character, live action or animation.
Love that when talking about the Symbol being armored and a target on purpose and you bring up that's assuming they are good shots that you show the panel from Batman: Odyssey #2. Just remember that from watching Linkara review of that comic and thinking how damn goofy and funny that shit looked with him spazing out.

Of all the Live-action suits, I love the Affleck suit. It was very comic accurate, especially to TDK, being black and grey with the big symbol and big overall frame. For animation is, of course, the DCAU.
