Aye, but even as an idea, its dumb. Its supposed to be bite sized content, but KRplus already does that. Even for TV shows, you could just use any streaming service you're already subscribed to and a majority of them save your place anyway. Not to mention, who the heck needs an entertainment service specifically for small moments in the day.
The final blow was having no way to watch it on a TV at home.

Google Glass wasn't just ahead of its time. It was trying to do things and no one really wanted it to do. I've been working with variations on that to be put in hard hats, and it's constantly a solution looking for a problem and no one wants it for their own use. Our prototypes just sit in their boxes unused because after the demo is over, no one wants to actually use the things.

@@Benjamin1986980 there are a lot of applications for that technology if it can be achieved. There’s a company that offers 3D gps called NextNav. What they offer on the job site is 24/7 worker tracking with 3D modeling. This improves your worker safety when it’s important to know when an area is clear of people. The front of eye interface could display that in real time. Through either imagery or signals. Crane operators, forklift drivers, etc.
The display also could be used to display information to customers, supervisors, or anyone who might need a more detailed experience of the site. You would have to model the area in 3D, there’s cameras for it. You would also need location tracking. But if you were standing in a certain location and facing a certain way. You could create content that would appear for a specified object or area. Then, while the person is on-site, it could infer what they’re looking at. Then give more information through the eye ware. Or if you modeled an area you could insert caution notices/warnings when people approach a certain hazard they might not be aware of. Also requires location tracking.
It may not be wanted by the employee but if you could offer a product that makes work places safer every single crew and workplace will be filled with them regardless of the wearer’s opinion.

Yeah, that's what I thought as well. There was a promotiom years ago by 3M (the makers of everything adhesive related) where they shielded an actual $1M dollars between two panels of their new security glass at a bus stop terminal. People went ballistic on it with sledgehammers, rocks, trying to chip it off the bolts, and nothing made the glass give before the technicians went on to repair it. Yeah, the glass was cracked and splintered real nasty like the cybertruck, but it did as it advertised, _prevented people from taking the money._
I think the company should've just made several videos of them shooting at it like many weaponry channels nowadays do, and show the test dummies and the interior of the car being intact. Altho tbh, I thing the worst flaw of their truck was that ugly polygonal design. Looked like something the Army would bid money on, not your average consumer.

    • @bunzeebear2973

It would have worked, had Musk been smart and put in Black Metal panels. It was a "stage truck"(also a copy of a Chevrolet El Camino or Ford Ranchero style...so the car/truck>so this style has been done & not popular- not really a car and not really a truck)
so no one could not see that it was painted METAL instead of see through glass. So he could have tossed a 5 pound lead weight at the "window" and not break it. Use 1/2" steel plate.
Otherwise use a RUBBER BALL that doesn't bounce(cuz it is GLASS) Just paint the ball silver so it is the "illusion" it is made of metal.

Once it became apparent it wasn’t going to be feasible that’s when she turned to scamming and ripping off the results. So in essence it was a fail.
