I just want to say that when the very first smart phones launched, and had a physical keyboard, Microsoft nailed that. The Motorola Q was so much easier to use than the Blackberrys. It had a jog wheel on the side to scroll webpages and a miny mouse in the middle. The file structure was like Windows instead of Blackberry's menu upon menu interface. And before MP3s were big, Window media files were the most common files used and ran natively. Totally dropped the ball in the age of touch screens though

We definitely need more of this series, your missing some big stories like antennagate (which was actually caused by apples own paranoia since they wouldn't allow testers to touch the phone and shipped it in a case that they had to set up in their car and drive around town only able to use the screen and not pickup the phone) or webOS and the fall of palm that had a 25% market share in 2006 to 0 today (but lg uses webOS on their TVs now) even though they had actual full app multitasking before Android and wireless charging way back in 2010

Garmin really was ahead of its time without a headphone jack

I love how he gets right into the list without an intro without making you wait and lets you know how much time is left before the next fail. I love it. More KRplusrs should do this.

The biggest phone fail I've had was the Galaxy S3. Great phone but the issue is if the screen goes off it underclocks the cpu to save energy and save battery...... Which is fine except it underclocked to the point it didn't have the power to play music on samsung's own music player so the music would buffer constantly.
On LG weird designs, I had that LG G5 that you could take the chin off and replace with a camera module so it had a shutter button and a scroll wheel zoom. Brilliant phone. I liked how you could get the battery out it and how they sold a powerbank shell for them.

I lament the failure of the Wing. If it'd just gotten better internals and cameras, as well as a better main screen, I'd love to have one. They nailed the feeling of switching between modes, and the form factor is legitimately useful.

The point to having the Marshall was to be a music focused device, it’s made for people who are into sound and precision along with being able to handle high end headphones. There are lots of phones like this where they are pointed for the music scene.

Hey you forgot that the Xperia line startet with Sony Ericsson. My first was the Xperia x10, which was actually a great first phone for their company. Then the Xperia Arc came, and is stil one of the prettiest phones I've owned so far.

I remember when my dad bought me my first phone, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8, a 3.0" display 168Mb of ram beast with the full grunt of a single core CPU working at a whopping 600Mhz at your fingerprints while running the latest (at the time) android 2.1.
this was not a slow phone by no means, it was quite fast actually, i remember playing many games on it, the battery wasnt great but it was removeable, but most importantly it was my intro into fiddling with the system, rooting, installing ROMs, and overclocking the 600Mhz CPU to a staggering 1000Mhz.
Loved that phone a lot and have very fond memories using it.

The LG reminds me also of the LG U900 from 2006, it was the first that I saw with that concept of the rotating screen with a keyboard underneath it

Oh man, I absolutely LOVED my Padfone. I really had a hard time getting rid of it when the hardware just no longer could deal with the latest Android versions and apps I used. I sincerely wished they would have continues this formfactor!

with that free phone idea the other major problem is unless you live in a city that phone might work out but to make sure you had an emergency signal you would still potentially need a 2nd phone on you most of the time anyway especially if you travel to BFN or live in a spread out area

I would probably add 2 points to each score. Arun is too kind for many of these fails. He's definitely the boss.

The volk one sounds like a major security flaw. Imagine someone sending a malware package to someone really far away, it would not just go onto the recipient's phone, it would go onto everyone in the network.

6:16 it's 2023 and i have a 2 gigs of ram on my Redmi 8A 😭, well, at first i was playing CODM without any issues but we've bought it in like 2019-2020 so nowadays i can't play Clash of Clans, and when i can, its barely functioning, but for 2015 i think 2 gigs of ram is pretty much decent.

the nord n10 has got the exact same design as the oppo a53s from the power and volume buttons to the holepunch front camera good job 1+

I think you should check out the RFinder B 1 and the Rfinder B 1+. They're both ham radio DMR and analog amateur radios as well as an android cell phones. You need an amateur radio license to talk on the radio side. I've talked to Australia, Japan, Korea, Moldova, Northern Ireland, and Oman just to name a few countries. I've had a blast talking all over the world with my Rfinder.
