LMAO accusing China censorship! HOW IRONIC! Keep in mind China had to do the proper research and data collecting first. There was some initial censorship regarding not letting the doctors spread info that's not confirmed by research to prevent panic, but no one was fired! Here, we see the US knowing full well the extent of this virus, and still FIRED a captain for actually trying to save his sailors. Honestly, the US the BIGGEST liar. Lets not forget during the H1N1, it was found after the fact that the CDC was hiding the numbers by the millions. Even now, it’s a confirmed fact that some people who died last year due to the flu was later found that it was by this virus. The CDC refuses to release when the earliest known death is. Also remember the WMD lie by the so called “intelligence officials”? Irony and hypocrisy at its finest!

We should halt recruiting and taking in new recruits at bases. All these does is spread the virus. The worst ones are the ones not showing symptoms but, our military higher ups disagree. I understand that might leave us short but, stop loss everyone would keep our numbers strong. We as a whole nation need to take this more serious. Our economy will fall behind some but, if this virus continues we will have many more sick and dead people. I feel we have more serious matters to worry about.

There are now more than 100 positive cases of the virus in Guam, there's is the possibility to over burden the health system of the small island, and more positive case from the aircraft carrier would not help. I am pretty sure from the time they left vietnam they have been informed about the dangers of the coronavirus. Vietnam was the first country to have the virus outside china, a lockdown of a village happened 3 weeks before the carrier arrived in vietnam. With regards to the american president, I think he did the right thing banning flights from china and europe, those decisive move probably saved millions of americans from getting the virus. He did that while his opponents was busy impeaching him and calling him racist and xenophobe for his ban on flights coming from infected countries. He is prioritizing his own people when he stopped the export of masks and ppes. He forced companies to manufacture ventilators, asap. He informed the people about possible medicines like hydroxychloroquine, the malaria drug, and it has been proven as one of the drugs to treat coronavirus patients. He deployed the two navy hospitals to blue states. It is your local officials who should step up, cuomo for years have disregard reports of the need for his state to add more ventilators in their inventory. Here, we see the US knowing full well the extent of this virus, and still FIRED a captain for actually trying to save his sailors. Honestly, the US is the BIGGEST liar.

@Deplorable Centrist Btw, I pick up a "rifle" everyday in the field of mental health and disability services 😊 been working with the population for 20 years.
It might be of interest to you to know that I am working on my Doctorate in Traumatology to help men and women like my dad, who had PTSD and virtually no supports when he returned home. I had no father as a result of his service. My calling is not in rifles. It in healing of the mind.

The captain; he spent years studying, training, and working under superiors. He knows the regulations, rules, and culture of the navy. He rose through the ranks and bested who knows how many other competent officers to be captain, not a small tugboat with 5 crews, but of a carrier with 5000 sailors. The captain saw his men getting sick and dying during peace time. He could not get satisfactions from his superiors to save his men. He ended his career and his men knew it and that is why they gave him that send off. They knew their captain loves them more than his career. When the captain gets home, his wife and children can proudly hold their heads high knowing he is their husband and father.
Now he has to look for another job, anyone out there hiring such a man?
