They will have a vaccine in 12-18 months. Like the flu vaccine. Herd immunity will be reached by infection or vaccine. Initial exposure matters as it effects the initial viral load the body receives and so social distancing helps minimise that. They don’t know why some get worse but the reason likely could be the initial exposure rate. Good hygiene and lifestyle including diet are always good advice but this is public health issue. Your federal government needs to do better.
Removing the Disaster in Chief would be a healthy start.

The US has covid-19 cases spike is after Italy or Europe started out of control. Many Americans got it from there not from China and spreading into local community. So, whether banned the flights from China does not have much related to situation happening now in the States.

I went to three stores to get groceries which I was normally can get at one store. Sam and Costco still out of toilet paper. The pasta shell at Kroger was empty. HEB shells are still empty. I can’t find yeast at any stores. Help!

Tests help but are not the solution. If you test negative, it means that you are negative at the moment of the test. Ten minutes later you can be infected. You have to keep combining it with social distancing and good hygiene. If it is possible to do a quick reliable test of all people that work in one shift, than it could be protective if during the shift no new people enter. A positive test has at this moment also no consequences for your treatment.
The great thing about testing is that you can do rigorous contact tracing. But before you can go to that system I think the numbers of corona cases have to go down considerable.
The USA has maybe an advantage of the mismanagement of the epidemic. They are also working on antibody testing. If a person test negative for Corona but positive for Corona antibodies, it is probably safe if this person is going back to its normal live. Since the epidemic is so rampant in NY it could mean that quite a large part of the population has gotten immune for the virus. Some scientists claim that 50-60 % immunity for this virus will bring herd immunity.
I think that large gatherings, like big concerts, springbreak, footbalgames cannot safely happen for a long time. Maybe if you have quick reliable tests for Corona immunity.
Please be aware: There's an apparent dip and following spike by regular internals, caused by _delayed _*_reporting_* during weekends. We will likely see a much longer dip just like it now during Easter. DO NOT mistake this for meaning things being better or safe!

Georgia's confirm cases were going down for last several days. Yesterday it jumped substantially to more than 1600 due to more test kits available. This happens nationwide. We still don't have enough test kits to identify ccp virus. How are we able to contain, crush virus and back to normal?

Why the Americans not asking what are the measures and how effective are they combating the virus, instead of asking when to go back to work? People should be united together instead of blaming China this and that, since the outbreak in China in January, the USA has done nothing to prevent it from happening at home. Just look at other countries in Asia, did they have this size of outbreak? NO, because since Day 1, they are seriously in reading China's report on the virus and have implemented strict controls to minimize the infections and spread.
For once it would be nice if the PEOPLE came out on top after this crisis instead of the insidious greedy corporate infrastructure.
