'He was ferociously independent': Senator recalls Joe Lieberman's legacy
#JoeLieberman #Politics #MSNBC
He was ferociously a tool for the Repugnicon party.
How?
There are no traditional liberals, like Joe Lieberman, in the Democrat Party, today. He was run out of the party because he wasn't a rabid Leftist. The Democrat Party has been hijacked and consumed by Communists and anarchists.
Not only that, also a ferocious supporter of oil companies, Tlopblog.
@@kevinpreston5590 He supported McCain over Obama, he was a cheerleader for Bush's war in Iraq, and he removed the public option from the Affordable Care Act. If Republican Rob Stefanowski had been elected governor of Connecticut in 2022, his transition team would have included Lieberman. Shall I go on?
@@deanfiora4227 You haven't said anything bad
No one except maybe a few of his family members will miss him. He left an ugly legacy.
This man was a coward
How
Ferociously two-faced and self serving...
How
He was a co-founder of No Labels. He might have done some good things back in the day. However, the things he was doing for No Labels were just harmful.
Good riddance. He was one of the worst quislings in the history of the Democratic Party.
How
@@kevinpreston5590 He's tried to sandbag every Democratic presidential candidate since he lost his try for the nomination in 2004, he endorsed Republicans, he voted to weaken the ACA, . . . He was a sanctimonious fraud before that but he was a traitor (you do know what a "quisling" is, don't you) after Democrats chose a different candidate for president instead of him.
He was a ghoul who went whichever way the money blew.
Wanted to ban violence in video games 30 years ago that would be laughable today and had a hand in nuking the public option in healthcare. Condolences for his family, but he served the public poorly.
Thank you morning Joe. may God be with your news always, peace.
my favorite truth for news. It will always be Morning Joe.
JOE LIEBERMAN was one of the few people who saw the MAGA handwriting on the wall!
Right next to the ketchup.
and what he could fill the ranks of the angry MAGA folks ... no healthcare vote just showed the American people that their leaders don't care about to join Steve Bannon and trump mindset = You must break our nation before you can fix it -- read steves book...
And embraced it.
didn't happen soon enough.
He ferociously advocated for the insurance industry against a public option. He was divisive under the guise of being “independent”. He should not be lauded.
'He was ferociously independent': Senator recalls Joe Lieberman's legacy
No he wasn't. He was owned by big money contributors and his own need for political power.
His latest venture..No Labels...is beholden to billionaires like Harlan Crowe, a guy that never met a US supereme court justice he couldn't contribute to. Money money money
Deepest condolences.
He will always been know for the one vote that failed the American people for the healthcare bill that could have made a difference ... but hey I heard his wife's company did really well for many years following his vote against the people... The land of the greedy should give him a trophy ... aren't we so proud of his work? look at his voting record for the people...
I know! I'll never forgive him for not letting us destroy the health care system even more!
Exvept when he was paid by lobbyists
RIP ✨
RIP Joe. you and John are the two that holds your head high beyond party line, making decisions and said it like it is for the country, not to a party interest.
Sen Lieberman came across to me, in the few substantive conversations we shared, as a man cut from broadly the same cloth as the late Sen Eugene McCarthy. Both men were eloquent debaters, and great listeners. These are marks of effective statesmen.
Blumenthal…..war “hero”. lol
Thanks
~Jim Eagle
The fact is Blumenthal did serve, unlike some who I would imagine you worship and who claimed a deferment for bone spurs but served his country, valiantly fighting to avoid venereal disease. Blumenthal apologized to his voters for previous comments on his service, has Trump ever apologized for anything? He can't even ask forgiveness from Jesus. Some Christian, the Bible is his favorite book that he never read.
Oh boy, the right winger who has to sign his handle on every post.
What i remember about Joe Lieberman is that he was a Democrat, an Independant and Al Gore's running mate in 2000
He helped Gore lose. Then left the party.
Garbage in. Garbage out.
He was a ferociously pompous hypocrite. Anyway, what’s for lunch?
Senator Lieberman was respected and well liked!
I sure miss the MSNBC good ole days when Leticia’s laughing face was on every MSNBC- video thumbnail.
It's Letitia James, Gomer.
@@AEnema-01Sorry, I’m not up on the spelling of all names of the the latest ghetto - Soros planted Marxists destroying democrat cities and states.. I promise to work on that!!
@@AEnema-01no....lucretia
Yuck. That's all I have to say about Joe Lieberman.
Booooh! Stolen Valor. Boooh!
He died a MAGA!! RIP
sad
My memory of lieberman is he was always in the way. When the democrats had a chance for real progress he was the vote they couldn't count on.
“Ferociously independent”. That needs to be viewed as a positive trait again.
He died a MAGA...not too independent there.
That is if it was true. It wasn't, David.
I'll follow my late mother's advice. I don't have anything good to say about Joe Lieberman so I won't say anything at all.
yada yada yada.
Didn’t his old boss invent the internet?
that is what they say over on that fox channel...
@@magicray5088No, I saw most of the democrat party, and all of Hollywood mocking Gore for that, back when Gore was one of the most hated democrats, amongst democrats and the left. (You shouldn’t just make comments, you obviously have NO clue about)
Who wants to see Biden gone and never seen again-
Jon Stewart benefited by 829% ‘overvalue’ of his NYC home even as he labels Trump’s civil case ‘not victimless’
Wrong video
