LMAO accusing China censorship! HOW IRONIC! Keep in mind China had to do the proper research and data collecting first. There was some initial censorship regarding not letting the doctors spread info that's not confirmed by research to prevent panic, but no one was fired! Here, we see the US knowing full well the extent of this virus, and still FIRED a captain for actually trying to save his sailors. Honestly, the US the BIGGEST liar.Lets not forget during the H1N1, it was found after the fact that the CDC was hiding the numbers by the millions. Even now, It’s a confirmed fact that some people who died last year due to the flu was later found that it was by this virus. The CDC refuses to release when the earliest known death is. @Dave Micolichek exactly how is it risking all that for him to contact his chain of command and pass up his concerns? They legit said this is what they WANT our military personnel to be able to do if its nessecary. The only issue here is that the memo got leaked to the press and it wasnt him who did it. The Inappropriate portion of what he did, revolves around how many people he sent the memo to. He sent it to too many people and it got out.
This is not something you fire a great and respected commander over. Rebuke them absolutely, punish them? Sure. But removal? That's too far

The ones that aren’t are not against him, they simply think that he should have been reprimanded for what happened but that was ultimately just looking out for the safety and well being of his sailors. Breaking Ranks: Dissent and the Military Professional
"If the officer cannot live with obeying the order, then he must disobey and accept the consequences."
There are circumstances under which a military officer is not only justified but also obligated to disobey a legal order. In supporting this assertion, I discuss where the tipping point lies between the military officer's customary obligation to obey and his moral obligation to dissent. This topic defies black-and-white specificity but is nevertheless fundamental to an understanding of the military professional's role in the execution of policy. It involves complex issues-among them, the question of balance between strategy and policy, and between military leaders and their civilian masters.

This week Captain Brett Crozier, commanding officer of the USS Theodore Roosevelt, has reportedly warned his superiors of the dire consequences his ship faces if the majority of the crew is not taken off the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier and isolated. The unusual plea was made as more than 100 sailors were reportedly infected with COVID-19 as of Monday.

He should be praised for his courage to speak out on the behalf of the sailors and he was right that the sailors were not on the war, and they should be protected as the American assets. Trump should see the courage the guy took to save others, meanwhile Trump still considers his own election even when many people suffer from the infections like those sailors. When he realizes his own stupidity, his lack of ability to take the leadership responsibility, his lack of competence? Does he need to see more dying people in order to realize his incompetence? Therefore, do we all the people in this country have to die just because of his selfishness and incompetence?

God bless you Captain. All the changing stories from the Navy's top brass make me think that they needed a scapegoat for the sailor's DYING on his ship and he wouldn't keep quiet about it. If a man can't stand for something, he will fall for anything. Captain Crozier stood up for his men and for me he needs a promotion. Im guessing he raised the alarm by the book and his superiors were slow to act so he took matters into his own hands, knowing full well what the consequences would be. He hasn't been relieved of duty because of any security breach or for not raising the alarm using proper procedures. He is gone for insubordination. He can hold his head high. God bless you Captain.

Four problems as stated herein- first, he went outside the Chain of Command, not within it per reports and early disclosures; second, as he said in his letter, what he asked required a political solution, there was ongoing negotiation for relief by the Guam government so his chain of command was already involved; and third, for Ms. Gillibrand to say he "sacrificed himself" for his sailors means he knew he would be relieved of command of the vessel; and fourth, he was not "fired"- he is still a Captain, an O-6, in the USN, serving our country.
