Ok, I understand why judges do not include themselves in gag orders but WHY do they include their families as well? Don’t they have a right under the law to be safe from dangerous death threats and lies? Can the daughter take chump to court for disparaging her name?
The judges need to preserve their impartiality. Including themselves or their families in gag orders would reduce their impartiality or the appearance of it.
I think in the age of Trump courts need to adopt a system where a panel of judges not on the case decide on gag orders re judges, court staff & families.
The daughter could sue for defamation but she probably wouldn’t want to. She probably wants to avoid further publicity & threats, & wouldn’t want to create difficulties for her father judging the case, as it would mean Trump could claim he had a conflict of interest.

Abraham Accord in the Middle East, which created peace in the region and therefore was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.
Record low unemployment for all minorities in this nation. Second lowest unemployment for women.
President Trump stopped North Korea from making nuclear weapons and made them meet South Korea, the first time the Korea's ever met.
He made the world a peaceful place for the entire 4 years making America great, working for the People and not for the special interest groups, despite being harassed, distracted, viciously attacked, and sabotaged by the left wing MSM, Big Tech, and hostile congress.
He is the most honest and effective president we have had by far.

What does "expand these gag orders" mean?
Include the judges and the families of everyone associated in some way with a trump trial in the protective order, and put the responsibility on him for making sure “other people” don’t target people on his website. Very few users so it won’t take many monitors to take down posts that attack any of those people.

The judges should not allow a defendant to attack anyone involved in the case, including themselves till after the case ends plus a couple of weeks.
A defendant should not be allowed to attack anyone, including the judge, ever. If he doesn't like the outcome of the trial he can file a PCRA or appeal.
