It’s 2020. I can be measured for a tuxedo using an app on my phone and it’ll be delivered to my house in less than 6 hours, but I can only vote if I’m physically present. It’s time to reimagine the voting process.

Mark Garin it’s not 1912. We’ve got electric cars that park themselves. We can explore alternative options for voting. Maybe social security number, facial recognition apps, finger print recognition apps, a PIN number. Use your head.
Simpleton....ha. well when your in a state where the governor wins a very close election, then it's discovered during research in voter registration, that voters named Mickey mouse, Jerry rice, and others were new to the voter rolls, swaying the election. Stories in other states of busses filled with warm bodies for one party being taken from voter booth to voter booth supporting illegitimate voting, indicates we are farther from having honest elections than one would like to believe. And when I get to stand in a line waiting for a cigar store in Philadelphia to open, and two guys behind me are discussing the latest election, and one comments 'gee wasn't the results in district x great'. I asked them what they were talking about, and they exclaim that in that district, they had a 99% voter turnout, and 100% voted for one presidential candidate. I said, doesn't that sound a bit contrived, that no one moved, died or wasn't available? And one guy goes into exclaim, that there are thugs at poling places in that city and if you are known to be for the other party, you can't even get into the polling places, so they don't register anymore. I asked them if that sounded right....and the response was "well, I'm sure the other party does it too".
Everyone who survives the Wisconsin voting shame should certainly see the wisdom of voting blue.

Why isn't it not done. It's because of the cheating. In CA they did it and somehow it disenfranchised the Republicans which lost them their seats. If you can go to Walmart and buy some groceries with social distancing, you can get out and vote.
Except that Walmart has started limiting the number of shoppers in the store at one time, and has implemented a "one way" shopping plan, so that people are less likely to be face to face. So apparently, Walmart cares more about social distancing, and their customers, than SCOTUS, does about their voters.

WTF voting on a Tuesday that is ridiculous in the best of times how are people who work get to vote. In Australia the voting takes place on a Saturday and you can get postal votes 2 weeks before and our voting is done on paper not electronic.
People used to be able to take time off work to vote and employers encouraged it. That was a more civil era.

My mom is one of the poll workers today. Everyone in our family voted absentee already. They're having poll workers wear masks, they have a sneeze guard, and they're doing their best to keep 6 feet between people. Obviously, I'm not happy about the decision, but I'm happy my polling place is doing all they can to make sure everyone takes precautions.
Instead of mail in voting. The polls should be open in November for two or three days to allow everyone to vote at a safe distance.

In my state, Oregon , we have voted by mail for years. Why isn't every state doing this? It is the democratic way of life for everyone to get a chance to vote wherever they live, rural are city. I'm glad my state has been forward thinking, particularly at this time.👏

If it’s the primary election, (is that the case?) they are deciding who gets to be on the individual party ticket for the general election: it’s the general election where this will really matter, as that’s when people have the choice to vote cross-party.
This state went to Trump in 2016, so the low voter turnout actually works against republicans who want another candidate besides Trump, which I think could backfire for Republicans in the general election.

There's nothing shameful about this entire ordeal, this is what we get when we voted the way we have for decades. We, all Americans, easily vote against our best interests, we have been doing that, we continue doing that and we will always do that. As long as people can be swayed by boisterous rhetoric spewed forth by vacuous suits, also not have the ability to follow a dialectic conversation about policy and procedure, we will always vote against our best interest. In voting against our best interests, leads us to a form of trickle-down, that's not rain dripping on your head!
