I feel this is taking a toll on the governor, he has done so much for his state, I hope and pray he is ok and he is takings care of himself. May God bless him for all his hard work.

Barbara nunez - If only Governor Cuomo were president!! It NEVER would have gotten so far out of hand!! Trump's complete and utter inability to actually ACT LIKE A PRESIDENT and his flat-out refusal to help the medical community and American people is KILLING PEOPLE. He should pay attention to Governor Cuomo - he might actually learn something about how to lead this country!

Even though the news is not good, it is still comforting to listen to an elected politician who is doing everything he can to help his people.
He is refreshing and handling of this crisis amazing.
His efforts before this crisis were awesome- bail reform setting violent criminals free, free college and drivers licenses for illegals, sanctuary policies , expanded abortion and corruption. He’s done so much for us here
You are delusional if you think he has done everything for his people. He and the mayor of NYC should have shut down the place immediately, they down played the seriousness of the effects of the virus. On top of that they let New Yorkers flee to other states and spread the virus everywhere. Sixty percent of the virus activity in other states can be linked to New Yorkers. Yes he did SUCH a good job! LOL!
Watching from the UK, the contrast between Gov. Cuomo's briefings and President Trump's briefings is staggering.
It's good that they are getting a handle on this. But be honest he did start late.
The US as a whole started late but under Trumps leadership we’ve gotten a lot done in a short time

Tip: If you need protective masks of moderate quantity and can't find commercial ones, you can make them out of HEPA or hypoallergenic vacuum bags. Examples, refinement tweaks and printable designs to cut and sow by, can be found many places, including Instructables .com. Just remember to stitch it around the cut edge with a reinforcing strip of material, in particular where you attach your bands, so the material doesn't rip or fray in use.
As it doesn't matter what model vacuum cleaner the bag is for (although larger bags have material for more masks), you can often find some for very cheap in the discount bin.
Wishful thinking. I seriously doubt the curve is about to flatten. If the US follows the trends set by the disease in Europe it has a long way to go yet. Most of it upward.

What is all this difference between states. In the UK we have the NHS which provides all the health care we need! It costs us nothing!
The next question isn't deaths that were counted in the hospitals even the makeshift ones, it's how many deaths that aren't reported and died at home.
ICU number is down, I guess its a good news. But we need to look at more than just hospitalization rate, because we could have more people dying and stricter icu admission criteria. They of course are no longer in ICU. Give out more tests!!!

Treat it quickly, as a prophylactic.Get under the care of a physician willing to use the French protocol and follow proper dosage. Stay OUT of the ICU. If you go to ICU your chances of surviving are much less.
Ask this mean the reason 16 nyc hospitals have been closed since 2003 and I would wait to hear the answer.

Andrew Cuomo. The truly Caring Governor of New York. Without whom New York would be so much more worse off. He deserves a Medal for his achievement throughout this Pandemic. He must be exhausted but he keeps going for his people. Mr Trump could use a little of Andrew Cuomo's genuine empathetic, thoughtful, sharing character. Maybe then America wouldn't be suffering as it is! Everybody loves Cuomo!!

Why did the leaders of New York not have their hospitals well supplied with everything they would need to handle very large numbers of patients after having terrorist attacks for the last 25 years?
So government was supposed to build hospitals it did not need and let them just be empty? Unlimited buget? sure
Juandisimo I never said anything about building hospitals. I said they should have had their hospitals stocked way up for a large number of patients. You know like make sure you have lots of extra face masks and ventilators and whatever other supplies hospitals need when disasters or terrorist attacks happen.
