My only hope is that now that it has gotten this far the GOP will stop protecting him by first making sure his tax returns become public (they have been working behind the scenes to prevent this) by agreeing to an independent Prosecutor for the investigation and also by making the committee hearings public so folks can see what's going on.
In other words, it's time for the GOP to throw Trump under the bus before they get thrown under the bus by voters in 2018. To be perfectly honest, I think that will happen regardless since the GOP is incapable of governing in the interest of the American people. They know how to cheat in order to win elections. They know how to lower taxes for the wealthy and corporations. They know how to make war. That's about it.
