I am a Korean, and I found a shocking fact after the recent Corona outbreak. Among OECD countries, Britain has the lowest number of beds.
Most of Europe's countries are at the bottom, especially with the exception of Germany. Britain and the U.S. have less than one-fifth of Korea's beds.
It is not at all prepared for the health of general public. Anyway, I pray that the British prime minister will recover his health.

Incorrect information! If you watch the news they state there is whole building converted to a hospital that will not be filled as they have so many beds & nurses just waiting for corona patients.
The Tory party has spent over 10 years underfunding the NHS which has caused ward closures , hence bed shortages. They've been slowly & steadily selling it of to private investors , stripping it down & cutting the procedure lists that were once free to people.. People have died waiting hours for ambulances, in hospital corridors & on waiting lists for cancer treatments.. johnsons party caused this and its the ordinary tax paying people that are dying because of their greed to sell off our national health service for profit for themselves & their ilk ..

Why are they heaping praise on this guy? I get the well wishes and all, but he initally had stupid cavalier attitude about the whole thing. You can wish someone well but not lose sight over the fact he was the one touting "herd immunity" and bragging about shaking infected people's hands...

At the time everyone was told simple regular hand washing and avoiding touching the face was thw only precautions this is a situation of hind sight is 20/20 he followed the advice ag the time and changed his message as the advice changed just a mistake

Jean Roch CONTAGION has always been the great equalizer in human history. That being said I don’t wish this disease on anyone regardless of how they may have acted. Before this thing has finished everyone of us will have been touched by it in one way or another. I guess as a nurse I have great compassion for the suffering. Even your PM. I hope he can survive and then tell the British public he underestimated the virus.

Testing is so abysmal in the UK that the prime minister's pregnant girl friend has been in bed for a week with a cough and fever, but is not considered sick enough to get a test. Looks like the Broken Brexit UK is joining the US as a third world nation.
I trust the Johnson family does not include physicians. The most prevalent preexisting condition for COVID-19 complications (death) is obesity which often includes diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol, all of which can develop with another illness like COVID-19.

No, there are much worse part. I saw an article written by a doctor who was working in ICU. A patient on a ventilator who can't breathe with his own lungs is not his part. Everyday he treated much worse situations, and sure, a lot of them died.

He was already behind the eight ball because of his leveraging based on false financial statements and the inclination of more than half the people who can afford his psuedo upscale brands to despise all things Trump. To add to his troubles the pandemic will exponentially increase his losses. Even formerly healthy hospitality based corporations may not be able to survive without restructuring. Truth be told, most of his base are far from well heeled, so they will be of no help. T shirt sales will not save him!

We need the antibody testing, not only to reopen society but to know how far this virus actually spread so we can prepare for the future.
I feel that all these reporters should not say ´he is strong as an ox...´ and so on. He is on IC and not because he does not need it. This weekend a very strong man with no health issues died at the age of 29 at the IC, while his brother of 31 survived and can go home. That does not mean anything. I do not support his politics but I hope for the UK that he survives.

It just occurs to me this pandemic brought out all the inefficiencies of politicians in western countries including USA except for some like Czech Republic and to a certain extent, Germany. I thought China was really bad in covering up, until you see how Europe and USA have been languishing on preparation for months given what could have been seen happening in Asia, hence the current situation.
