Many changes have been made to the Constitution since its adoption. Now other changes must be made that relate to the immunity of the president to US laws, and especially to the pardons given at the end of term. It is absurd that criminals who have been found guilty by a legislative procedure can be released by an individual who may know little of the law or its practice. More absurd is the idea of a self-pardon!

The former President has said and openly shown disdain and contempt with regard to his thinking about the U.S. Constitution and specifically the 1st Ammendment of the "Bill of Rights." He has Stated that "The Constitution needs to be rewritten." Much can be said to prove that he is planning the establishment of an Autocratic government with ideological intent that also is contrary to the 1st Ammendment defining "The Separation between Church and State." These statements disqualify his ability to take "The Oath of Office," as is required in Article 2, Section 1, last paragraph.
Moreover such statements are repeated often during his addressing the MAGA movement, each time the Republican candidate for the Presidency makes Autocratic declarations he reinforces that he and his plans should he win the National Election would be dangerous and arbitrary to the extent that the U.S. 248 years as a democracy would no longer exist at the very least as "we the people," have come to know and support! The challenge is clear neither he nor the Republican Party should stay in office, either in the House or Senate!

Official Code of Georgia Annotated, at 21-2-603, does not mention the First Amendment! It does, however, mention a 1-3 year jail term for those found guilty of specific electoral crimes!!

I would be more comfortable with the idea that the American People, not the courts, should decide if Trump is fit to serve a second term if the American People actually DID decide it, but of course, we don't.
