Thank God for the crew that signaled ahead when they were in trouble, it minimized the loss of life! My prayers for the families of the fallen.

Let’s just take a step back and look at reality, Baltimore is one of the worst cities in America to live in. The education system is well funded and yet nearly all their schools are failing academically. Baltimore crime has gone up, increases in murder and violent crime and double the car jackings it did 5 years ago. Baltimore is arguable the worst city to live in in America. Who’s been running that city for the past ten years? Black Americans. Just look at all the cities ran by black Americans right now. Chicago, Atlanta, New York City, San Francisco, LA, Memphis and Houston. All of these cities have seen an increase in crime, violent crime and poverty. But we aren’t supposed to question whether these black leaders are capable of their positions?
I lived in the City of Baltimore for 42 years, and my heart is with everyone there now. It is beautiful to see how the people and leaders at all levels are pulling together in this time of tragedy. Thank you, Mayor Scott, for your responsive and tireless efforts.

72 ear old white guy here. -- I hear what some other white people say when the people of color have left the room. I can't count the number of times I've heard someone twist something that has nothing to do with race into ugly, racist nonsense. It's depressing, dispiriting and never fails to shock and disgust me. I was a kid during the civil rights struggle era, a time of hope, a time when real progress seemed within sight. I thought we'd be past this kind of thing by now and to think that in the late autumn of my life that we're still constantly confronted with this racist filth breaks my heart.

I'm from Maryland and I'm highly impressed with Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott. He is truly a grass roots political leader, who speaks to the heart of his constituents for a better city. Across this country many Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Programs are under attack (Republican States) for only trying to represent everyone in out society, which is way beyond just race. In science, the human species originated from Africa by natural selection. All of our racial characteristics/diversity are actually rooted by our environment. We humans adapt over long periods of time and will also change as we migrate, thanks to UVR. D.E.I. Programs simply helps to represent the actual reflection of the world we live in, as all of God's children.

Oh man, DEI is the new boogeyman? Time to go add that "we value DEI" to all our job listings. This is CRT all over again. DEI is an HR term to help reduce discrimination lawsuits in companies, just like CRT is a curriculum for students in LAW SCHOOL. They just find boogyman acronyms and go after them without knowing what they even mean.
