If small business is the backbone of the economy, why does the relief package only give them loans while huge corporations get bailouts?

@@vitruvianman7170 If a small business owner goes under who will care except the owner and employees. If a Wall Street corporation goes under the shareholders will have to face the music. The 1% could never stomach that.
SBA will forgive loans if all employees are kept on the payroll for eight weeks and the money is used for payroll, rent, mortgage interest, or utilities.
The loan will be fully forgiven if the funds are used for payroll costs, interest on mortgages, rent, and utilities (due to likely high subscription, at least 75% of the forgiven amount must have been used for payroll). Loan payments will also be deferred for six months. No collateral or personal guarantees are required. Neither the government nor lenders will charge small businesses any fees.
Forgiveness is based on the employer maintaining or quickly rehiring employees and maintaining salary levels. Forgiveness will be reduced if full-time headcount declines, or if salaries and wages decrease.
If the requirements are not met the loan will have a maturity of 2 years and an interest rate of 1%.

Ah, there it is...wondered how Rubio was actually being a humanitarian...He is saying all of this with a sincere straight face, yet I don't believe this package is as innocent and helpful as he is pretending it will be...well we couldn't help it got complicated...reminds me of the scorpion that stung the fox after the fox gave him assistance getting across the flooding river...I couldn't help myself it is my nature.
The airline and cruise ship industries should put their planes and ships up as collateral, and take out loans like everyone else. Give the bailouts to small businesses and the tax paying American consumers..
