It's sad to know that even if MCR ever did get back together there is no guarantee that they'd be able to sing and play these songs with as much conviction as they did back in the 2000's.
They are no longer the angry, vengeful youth or death-obsessed young men or even rebellious adventurers of their early to mid 30's. That's not them anymore, and why would we ever force them to be something they simply aren't anymore.
The reason the band broke up was that they weren't connecting as much as they used to, and they would rather end it now while it's still good then drag it out even more.
So I'll miss them, but I'm also happy to know that Gerard isn't a broken depressed alcoholic with no hopes for his own future, he's a happy father and husband. Frank's lived his dream and is now the happy father of 3 with a beautiful and kind wife. Mikey just celebrated 1 year sober and he's no longer the kid brother who hides behind Gerard. Ray is still able to shred and write songs that he really feels for, and he's got his own son as well.
