I remember listening to “Fake Your Death” in 2013 and thinking to myself “I need to savor this moment because I’ll never hear a new MCR song for the first time ever again.” I’m so glad I was wrong. Welcome back.

Acabo de mearme encima. La banda que más he escuchado con diferencia, que marcó mi adolescencia (y en realidad mi vida) y que guió gran parte de mi exploración musical.
De verdad que he sentido un escalofrío recorriendo mi espinazo al escuchar este pedazo de tema. Aún es pronto para decir qué entiendo de él, pero sin duda me ha hecho sentir cosas muy especiales rememorando aquellos tiempos.
Y es curioso porque, cuando yo lo escuchaba, mucha gente habituada a los grandes clásicos decidía ignorarla porque la prejuzgaba como una banda de moda más.
El tiempo, creo, los ha puesto en su lugar. Y lo que les queda. Ya no son esos "críos" a los que simplemente puedes ignorar. Son y siempre fueron, no sólo grandísimos músicos, sino grandísimos artistas.
Todos los que maduramos escuchando sus temas, viendo sus videoclips y entrevistas, escribiendo en foros o analizando el arte conceptual; todos sabemos que My Chemical Romance es mucho más. Que va mucho más allá de simplemente "una banda juvenil de los '00s.

Gerard Way has always had a brilliant sense for melody. There's always been something special about this band that separated them from the whole "emo" trend in the 2000's. You all remember those bands. We all went through it. A lot of those bands sounded the same. Like they were trying to fit into that emo box. None of them sound like MCR. I'm so glad they're at it again, and can't wait for a new record.

As many have said it’s like being reunited with a long lost friend. And I’m here for it my fellow elder emo’s. And for you youngster fledgling emos, welcome, to the joy of experiencing brand new MCR releases :)

Im glad they’re finally getting the credit they deserve. Beneath the emo aesthetic, mcr has always been a ROCK band in my opinion. The Black Parade is a timeless rock opera and it deserves iconic status

This is what my childhood depression sounded like and the fact I'm hearing it in real time as an adult ten years later feels like a huge victory in every sense of the word.

It feels like being a preteen again discovering MCR for the first time and binging their playlists and albums and bothering your parents for merchandise. I cannot believe I'm so much older and they posted something new. It doesn't feel real but this song feels exactly like the other ones, the way it evokes such emotion in me. I'm so happy I could die

Such a good song, it’s almost as if they mixed Danger Days and Three Cheers. Its dark, but its so moving. So glad to have them back.

While listening to this, I often compare it similarly to bohemian rhapsody, the piano intro, runtime, storytelling in each verse, uniqueness of choruses, solo part, and the soft ending. Made my music playlist become alive again.

i was so afraid of listening to this song when it first came up. i finally did it, and honest to god im so fucking emotional right now. such an amazing song... like it really does feel like something that has been created by my chemical romance. i was afraid this song would straight up suck, but i knew deep inside me that gerard wouldn't disappoint. and he certainly didn't, because the lyrics are incredible. this is mcr, you know what i mean? they've evolved without losing their essence.
i don't understand why people hear this song and think about three cheers for sweet revenge, or even welcome to the black parade. in my opinion this has ibymbybmyl vibes. it has specifically reminded me of demolition lovers, my favorite song out of all the songs they have.
anyway, i missed them. i remember 2019 and how much i cried when i found out they were reuniting. please, for the love of god, mcr come to Argentina. ive been to frank's concert here and it was -and still is, mind you- the best day of my life. i need to see them together at least once.

I've not listened to my Chem since I was last saw then live in 2011 over 10 years ago, i had all thier albums at one time. I went back to heavier music and down the 80s metal lopehole. Yes I was upset to hear they split in 2013. To hear this now 10 years later is so refreshing and love how much it sounds like their first album give me your bullets

I love these guys for coming back to help everyone out again with their music

I always knew they were coming back, the moment I found this song was one the of the best moments of these past years, MCR is something I can't describe, Gerard way is one of my heroes

The instruments remind me of Revenge era, but the vocals are something totally new! Fucking love it!

I haven’t gotten to experience the feeling of listening to a My Chemical Romance song for the first time since I was a teenager. I’ve been a fan since 2005 and I’m 29 now…tears are in my eyes.
