I always felt so sad but strangely comforted listening to The Kids From Yesterday, so disappointed that I missed out when MCR was still around. Shit, the last album they released, Danger Days, was probably the furthest thing from emo I could imagine while still being punk. I just get kinda annoyed seeing so many people still associate then with emo when most of the big bands that were called emo were more pop punk than anything (and I say this while still considering MCR as the heaviest of the big 3 “emo” bands).
The hashtag they used for this video was #MCRXX ... I think the double X was used as a placeholder for the last two digits of a year. Frank just posted about the last show of the tour with the hashtag #MCR23. I think we're getting an album and/or a tour to go with it. 🤞
