I find hk93s to be really picky with how much lube is in them. If there's too much they get gummed up and become jam city. When I first got mine I had some of the same issues, but I got it figured out now it works fine.
@@M357.most likely the extractor bud I had a pt709 with a faulty extractor and it did the same as your saying but the extractor wouldn’t pull the round out the chamber when I would rack the slide back and I ended up putting a hole through my hand one night throw that fire arm if you don’t need it bud😂
It's a shame, but good that it's a simple jam and when you didn't "need" it to work reliably You can always film another short, but you wouldn't want that when hunting / in a match / defense

I met a retired lieutenant from the Mexican army when they used the hk. He said that one of these bullets would cause the part they were shooting at to explode. If they hit you in the arm or leg, they would cut it off and leave a hole the size of a coconut in the body.
My 93 had a habit of ripping cases in half. I learned one thing, unlike any other rifle, using cerosafe to get the other half of the case out is a bad idea. I have so many other 223s that it stays in my collection just to say I have all 3 of the 90s series.
I think you have to fine tune it if it does that, I'm not too familiar with the design but I read people using different sized rollers to tune the delay in the action opening when firing
@@rodiculous9464 I don't recall if I ended up changing the rollers in that one. But my 91 started beating itself to death. It started kicking lime a mule and getting roller dents in the side. I had to replace the bolt head, locking piece, recoil spring, and gave it a heavy buffer and +1 rollers. For a rifle that cost me $600 back in the late 80's, replacing all that with original HK parts nearly doubled my cost. Oh yeah, a new buttstock as well.
I like the G33 better but this is one hell of a rifle. I'd do some unspeakable stuff to get my hands on one. I mean I could just straight up buy one, since I'm European but they're still hella expensive even down here.
Great video as always! I would love to see you test the A3 Tactical Triad. It’s a bullpup kit for bufferless uppers. They currently have it for the Foxtrot Mike, JAKL, and BRN-180 uppers. They seem pretty neat!
Smooth recoil but the 2 I've seen in person also jammed with 5.56... they worked with 223. The 5.56 cases split and were stuck in chamber. 222 extracted fine
We Marines loved this rifle so much we hoped the Marines would replace the M-16 with it. The only thing we didn't like was that the bolt doesn't lock back when the last round is fired.
I feel like I over paid on my HK93 😅 I paid $3,200 when I got my HK91A4 with the collapsible stock, bipod, bayonet with lug, and the HK21 rear sight for $2850 and haven’t had and problems nor jams with the 91 but the 93 is buggy. Did you find out what was causing yours to jam? I had to change the angle on the locking lugs for the rollers, it didn’t really cost more than $20 to change them at the time
Question- how do you attach that damn folding carry handle? I have a 91 and picked up a handle..do handguards have to be removed- or just a really hard 'press fit'.🤔
This makes me miss my 12” MKE HK 33K clone 😢. I had it set up the same way and wanted to SBR it with the telescoping HK stock. But life happened and I decided to sell it 😭
I have never seen an HK jam in my life. What’s up with that ammo? The box looks sealed. But the brass definitely looked already fired, and actually looks like it had some fatigue to it. The problem was someone reloaded that ammo and didn’t resize the brass. HK extractor leaves a very unique signature on the brass so all that brass was probably reloaded in the box resealed it wasn’t originally fired from an HK. I’d say the whole problem was somebody didn’t resize their brass.
This was main battle Rifle of west German Army in 78 to 81 when I served in B co 9th Engrs out of Aschenffberg I won bronze Shootzshere also shot MG 3 ie MG 42 fun fun! Never had one jam that's bullet proof Rifle just like every thing H & K makes!
We used this assult rifle in jungle warfare back in the '80, terrible piece of weaponry, always jammed. We ditched it after 2 years and brought in the Steyr.
When designing the MG42, and later the CETME, they discovered the guns wouldn't run with soft brass alloys. The soft brass would flow into the chamber flutes like a liquid and slow extraction. Contrary to popular belief, it wasn't thin commercial brass that gave them fits. Thin brass works just fine. Steel cases work just fine. Soft cases, like some Israeli ammo, don't.
