Just came back from a trip to Hwenge National Park in Zimb🇿🇼 and Chobe in Botswana 🇧🇼. I will never forget it, and it's memories will remain with me till the day I die. This was a trip of a life time, and to see these magestic elephants in their own environment, with their babies playing in their darling cuteness, while being protected on all sides by the females, just brought me tears of joy, and at the same time, tears of sadeness. Poaching is a constant threat in such vast areas. 😢 How can anyone be sooo evil as to harm these magestically beautiful creatures?!😠May God protect them, and all that live their lives in aquest to save them. 🙏❤️😍🐘

I travelled through East Africa 30 years ago, and I remember every single day of that trip like it was yesterday. Did you get to see the gorillas while you were there? We spent 2 magnificent hours with a family of mountain gorillas, and I was 1 metre away from the silverback who was breaking up thick shoots of sugar cane and munching on it like it was a banana. I spent 6 glorious weeks travelling from Zimbabwe to Kenya on a truck with others, we got to see all the wildlife and camp under the stars. It was an absolute privilege to be there and witness Africa in all its glory. Definitely not a trip we will ever forget.

The mom elephant screamed so loud when they tripped on the rocks and she was worried about her baby being trampled. They are so awesome flanking the baby from harm unbelievable magestic animals 🐘🐘🐘

Fun Facts: African elephants are by far one of the most important keystone species from the African savannahas since them pushing down trees it isnt for destroying the landscape to beginning with, they are capable to change the shape of the ecosystem by allowing good pastures for other grazing ungulates to have access to graze in the open grasslands.

I remember details from childhood like it was yesterday. I feel 20 yrs ago was last year. I'm on awe of elephants and suffer knowing one thirdbof babies don't make it to age 1.
I have a tough exterior and personality but these babies being me to my knees. The moms anxiety abd despair. I follow 🐘 orphanages daily. A few on Kenya ❤️ Sheldrick Wildlife Trust nursery.

@1:34?? Anybody else notice?? Not a single one if these beasts are swaying back n forth like they so in the zoos across the world! Not even ONE!!
WHT stop sending these precious beasts to 'prison' (aka zoos) they can't do solitary confinement n that's all a zoo is for them!
They are born in the accredited zoos the swaying can be due to their nails not breaking down like in the wild. In the wild they don't have enough water or food and are hunted by not only natural predators but poachers. People also keep them as slaves and entertainment and beat, starve and drug them by giving them beer instead of water.
The swaying is usually caused by the stress of living in captivity, often with no other elephants or just 1-2. They are extremely social and need a herd.
@@DianaBamaRN not always the case they can be shifting their weight due to needing to have their feed worked on. Horses also sway and it hereditary it may decrease a little if they are stimulated with foraging toys. Accredited Zoos are not prisons elephants and so many other animals in the wild are killed in the wild for their body parts without being eaten, people caring about the population, or how the animal and often its child suffers.
@@DianaBamaRN male adult elephants are not social unless it's to breed and then they are extremely violent. Having a few females is perfectly fine I do agree that smaller Zoos should have asian elephants if they are going to have elephants and even then they need double digt acres to themselves and maybe aldabra or galapagos tortoises at times for interaction.
