We want to know if Stone/Jones were w/Trump during the rally. We want to know WHEN and HOW Trump slipped away back to the WH and what he did and what he did when he got back to the WH? We want testimony of the people around him when he returned to the WH who can verify his actions from the time he left the rally until the insurrection ended. WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW!

National Guard Major General Walker's testimony was a bombshell! He called DOD to deploy National Guard, inside, the Capitol, with, already, 150 on the Capitol grounds, and didn't receive approval for 3 1/2 hours? WTF??
All of this is irrelevant really. The real question that went unresolved basically from last week was WHY did the Sergeants at arms of the House and the Senate BOTH deny Chief Sund's requests for Guard reinforcements ahead of the rioting.
The three excuses given by the Sergeants were:
#1- We didn't like the 'optics' of this.
#2- We had absolutely no way of predicting that the day would be violent, especially because we didn't get an official intelligence report in time.
#3- Oops. I have no recollection of receiving a call at that time. (particularly the House Sergeant of Arms)
And the greatest travesty is that the Democrat senators in that comittee hearing... ALL of whom voted to indict 45 based on the narrative that the insurrection was formented by 45's whirlwind of lies that PREDICTABLY created a climate of violence... ALL of those democrat senators who were in that committee hearing sat there during that committee meeting with Chief Sund and the ex-Sergeants at Arms and smiled and asked BOGUS questions while this was all being said..
We are never going to understand why the security was stood down on January 6th ahead of the insurrection. Nobody seems to be interested in asking the questions for the facts.
And sure, we can haggle about the facts about what happened once the Captiol building was breached... but all of that is utterly moot if we don't understand why the building was left undefended in the first place.

The truth finally comes out, as it always does. This blew my mind hearing that too! It all leads back to Trump, because he was all about militarizing the immediate response to the summer riots. But obviously not on Jan 6th, when it was his own mob.

Senator Johnson, I listened last week as you hurriedly skipped through reading excerpts from an article written in the first person. I did not hear you state the source of the article, even after backing up the recording. You stated the title, author's name, and qualifications and provided a copy for the committee to enter into the record. However, I would like to know the name of the publication so I can read the entire article. The bits and pieces you read nearly made me laugh as I wondered what city this person was visiting! His account of events were very different from what we as a nation saw on January 6, 2021. Context is everything and I'm sure as a US senator, you would not want to mislead the committee or the citizens of our democratic nation.

Yes but I hope you understood from the testimony in this and the previous committee hearings who specifically DIS-organized the National Guard ahead of the violence:
-The House Sergeant at Arms, the Senate Sergeant at Arms, and the Mayor of DC
Remember that the Sergeants at Arms are BOTH responsible for turning down Chief's Sund's requests to request reinforcements in the hours and days before the violence to re-inforce the Capitol Police Department.
Remember that the request to scatter the DC guard across the city for traffic duty without weapons was specifically made by Mayor Bowser according to her letter from December 31st.

Senator Cruz is establishing a false narrative. The National Guard stationed in DC was following the letter and memo sent by Sec of Defense and Sec of Army - when they arrived in D.C. with no weapons. Those documents were written before January 5, Walker read them at the hearing (before Cruz's turn), and are the reason DCNG had no weapons, not because of the D.C. Mayor's letter from Jan 5.
I do wonder if the D.C. Mayor's letter is referring to those "'federal police' with name tags covered up, badge identity covered up, arresting people in placing them in unmarked vehicles" - that kept showing up at marches throughout 2020 and would never say who they were - when asked.
And, again, Senator Cruz is establishing a false narrative like he wasn't at the other hearings. A witness explained that D.C. Police Dept do not cover the Capitol building, and another witness explained that the 1800 Capitol police were scheduled in 3 10shifts - in case it went long.

But that said... you're 100% incorrect and you've fallen for the corporate media's deception. Muriel Bowser SPECIFICALLY requested the National Guard be deployed for TRAFFIC DUTY. Weapons and riot gear is not necessary for traffic duty and that is why she requested the DCNG to be disarmed for traffic duty. Even if the Sec. of the Army and Sec. of Defense WANTED to give weapons to the Guard, there would be ZERO legal justification to giving DCNG weapons for a TRAFFIC DUTY deployment. It doesn't matter who stated the above, whether it was Cruz, or Klobuchar, or Johnson or whoever... The above is established FACT from the two committees.
600 officers per shift (unless officers were assigned double shifts, but heck... even 1000 officers) would NEVER have been enough to defend the Capitol against tens of thousands of Trump rabble. Ever. Chief Sund of CPD KNEW this to be the case, which is why he repeatedly requested BEFORE the outbreak of violence that the DCNG be requested for reinforcement. But on each occasion, these requests were denied by the House and Senate sergeants at arms.
And please tell me you agree with me that the 'lack of intel reports' argument that the security officials gave is UTTER NONSENSE. Please tell me it was UTTERLY predictable that around 600 officers, many of whom didn't wear riot gear, was COMPLETELY insufficient to defend the Capitol against tens of thousands of protestors on a day when the Congress was hosting a historically controversial moment (at least in the minds of all the protestors). Like there was ZERO need for any official intel reports. The ONLY surprise from January 6th was how quickly the masses were able to push their way in...

Why did the Senate not subpoena Sec of Defense Miller and Sec of Army McCarthy to the hearing - if they "really want to find out what happened"?
Where was the Secretary of Army McCarthy sitting - when National Guard Major General Walker was on the conference call with him? And, did anyone on the call (including Major General) ask Sec of Army McCarthy - if he was watching the riot on TV - as they spoke?
And, where was the Secretary of Defense Miller when the Sec of Army McCarthy contacted him asking permission to send National Guards to the Capitol? And was the Secretary of Defense asked (or) did he acknowledge that he was watching the riot on TV?
And did the Senate not subpoena the former POTUS to testify as to his role as Commander-in-Chief in quelling the rioting? Are they not allowed to because of the impeachment? Interesting. Just curious.

Thanks for sharing that. I'm shocked that nobody is asking more questions directly to Mayor Bowser about why she deliberately chose to request a National Guard deployment for January 5th and 6th that ultimately would have slowed down (as it did) a National Guard response to violence on those days.

I've also felt like I'm losing my mind in so many ways because it is so obvious that may your Bowser's actions around the 6th involving the National guard make absolutely no sense... And like all of these details are available in news articles and on public record... And yet literally nobody is actually asking the obvious questions of her about her decisions... the only people who seem to be asking anything of substance, seems to be the Republican Senators in some of these hearings... Remember that the impeachment of Trump was entirely based on the premise that the violence was formented by Trump indirectly through weeks and months of rhetoric to create an entirely predictable scenario of violence for that day. And yet these security officials are saying that none of this was predictable and that they simply lacked intelligence... and without the official intel reports... they simply chose to lightly defend the building on one of the most historic days of the history of Congress... with a skeleton crew of under-equipped police officers? From what I've seen so far... there is little/no chance that Trump alone organized the security to be stood down to defend the Capitol on the 6th. Literally no evidence has ever been produced to indicate that Trump had anything to do with standing down security that day.
However, its becoming clearer and clearer that every Democrat Senator's vote to indict Trump was based in partisanship and not in evidence. So that alone is a huge condemnation of the Democrat party because they have now used the 'nuclear bomb' of impeachment twice baselessly and disgustingly.
The reality is that the TWO PEOPLE who MUST be pressed with more questions under oath are the House and Senate Sergeant at Arms. Remember riots had been going on for months all over the country, democrats said no military or federal troops are to be used to protect people and property or restore order they are storm troopers remember. So why would they be surprised when the capital is being over run by thousands with flag poles and baseball bats, there would be reluctance or hesitance to deploy national guard instantly. You gotta love the outrage Klobuchar is showing right now that national guard wasn't there instantly when they needed them most. So this is their own doing and making as far as security at the capital and lack of support of National guard and the hours delay in getting approval. Lie #28: That Trump used “highly inflammatory rhetoric-exactly calculated to incite violence given what had been reported about the crowd.”
Fact: Again, the crowd in front of the President was calm, celebratory, dancing, cheering. There was zero incitement to violence. To say otherwise is a lie.
Lie #29: Trump did not “urge peaceful demonstration.”
Fact: The President specifically said to protest “peacefully and patriotically.” To say otherwise is a lie.
Lie #30: “President Trump’s remarks - delivered to an armed, angry crowd…”
Fact: Again, repeating a lie does not make it so.

Do you not think people who work a full time job deserves to make a livable wage? Get out of your bubble not everyone is created equal. Without those willing to do the work that upper echelon and wealthy won't do this country would be a lot worse off than it already is. I believe that every American deserves healthcare after all we are the richest nation in the world. How about talking to those corporations who instead of hiring capable people to do the open jobs they have instead of hiring only college graduates of which some don't know what they are doing. I'd hire experience over a degree every time. If people made a livable wags housing would be affordable don't you think? Yeah let's not leave a livable planet for the future generations lets just do away with all environmental laws and let corporations and businesses just do as they wish. My wish would be they use your property as their dumping ground for toxic waste. Probably the closest I'll ever come to agree with anything you've said in your comments is people should be helpful with contributing to their retirement. Again maybe a livable wage would take care of that problem too.
