You imply that these two things are contradictory, but it's easy to envision a system where increasing taxes would create jobs. Imagine, for example, that taxes were raised on the highest income earners, and that money was used to fund programs that, say, revamp our infrastructure.
A Skeptical Human Firstly you're deeply missing what I said. On that note I dare you to cite one instance in all of history that cites the increase of taxes to a proportional growth in economy. Secondly you could set the top 1%'s taxes to 99% and it wouldn't change how much they pay in, as they use loopholes to circumvent the taxes altogether, in the USA. Which is intelligent, however the peasants do not get to participate in such charades.
