Our school went back last Thursday in person.
Schools are open because the threat is minimal at best. How many kids do you know that have been hospitalized or died from this virus? I don’t know any. But I do know kids that have died from cancer.

I live in the UK. Three weeks ago we had an average of 220 cases a week in my area. This week it stands at 1100 cases . Sadly it appears to hitting all age groups. Schools are closed, we are in lockdown. The vast majority are playing by the rules but the new variant appears not to care.

From information in the UK the children's wards are gradually filling up. From ONS figures it appears to be affecting children in various ways however those under 1 and those over 15 would appear to be most at risk. The numbers are still low in comparison with other age groups but over the last three months there as been a constant gradual rise. Those above 15 are seeing a greater number of long covid.

nope it is their underlying conditions of poor diet, sick health from the recent powerful flu shots that are skewing the covid tests. read VAERS about stories of sick kids from all the vaccines they are given since birth.

Children are not unaffected. In fact, I was just told by my cousin In the U.K that the new mutation is affecting children and younger adults way more. Their schools are closed.
Hi I live in the UK. Yes our schools are closed. The important aspect is that more children are becoming ill and needing to go to hospital. It is not clear if it is the new variant that is responsible but most believe it is.

That is awesome I know when I tried to do homeschool for my son it wasn't very easy for me because I have a learning disability and he has also stuff in place to have an IEP not that he has a learning disability but he has an IEP when you have an IEP it is very hard to do distant learning because of that. And I just don't have the support system 2 help

There are too many things we need to change we really do need to do a 180 on how we do things differently. I feel that Educators should automatically teach children as if they have learning disabilities like dyslexia cuz they don't like teaching kids with dyslexia or hyperactivity and they don't like teaching kids that are hyperactive they got better but still you have those teachers that go did you take your medicine today where we feel that we're entitled to say that two children that are not our own is crazy the fact that we don't teach kids so we don't leave them behind do we leave them behind we always leave them behind that's why high schools that have trades in them are growing as a popular movement.

I wish MORE children & parents/families would be like London & her family & think about what could happen if she brought COVID-19 home to her family. There have been a lot of cases where a child got COVID19 at school, then their family members caught it & one or more family members died.😕SO MANY people I know have contracted COVID19 from their kids/grandkids who attend school in person.

NYC schools are child’s play compared to Indiana. We have been in person since July. Currently 70% of our kids are back in person with a 20% county positivity rate. They only close a school if too many teachers are sick to be open.

Every time our numbers level off, a bunch of Karens protest about the need for schools to be open. Schools reopen or go hybrid and numbers increase, leading to another shut down, and the cycle continues.
Well the adults haven't been following the rules , now strum the heart strings for kids, how do we derive 800% when we only have 100% of children ? If all children had it it would be 100% 9f children, up 50-80-90% I can wrap around but up 800% is a bit outside the box.

I never understood why the schools were closed. Unless children were in a high risk group, this made no sense. If nurses and doctors/ essential workers can work; why are teachers so concerned?

Unfortunately my child wasn’t allowed to to virtual learning for ONE class, out of four. They also wouldn’t allow him to come in just for that class and do the rest virtually.
You probably should just say you're homeschooling your child. I mean is there really a difference between virtual learning and homeschooling nowadays? I mean, yeah you're not following the school curriculum but you can just make your own depending on the level your child is learning at.

Are there any stats as to other conditions amongst the kids - eg obesity, diabetes etc.? Any ethnic differences? Correlations with poverty? Children supposedly were not falling ill from the virus even if they caught it, so this is a nasty twist.
