I'm from Hawaii and I was met by officer in response to a 911 call. Before I could tell why I had requested for his help, the officer's demeanor aggressively questioned me if I was the evildoer.
As a 55 year old resident of Hawaii and citizen of America, I stopped him and confronted him about his lack of protocol; his tone and manner of speaking was rough and intimidating. I told him to cool his manners and be more respectful to a citizen who supports his salary and position. ALSO I told him I would not talk to anyone who couldn't speak calmly without being provocative. It was if he was trying to rile me to react unadviseably.
Fortunately he was with another officer and apparently his partner... who intervened.
I asked his partner if this was the appropriate behavior of ALL officers?
His partner apologized and explained his partner had recently came from NEW YORK where he trained.
I told this errant officer his approach would be unnecessary to most people in Hawaii because they are reasonably gentle. But if he continues this aggressive and disrespectful attitude I 'll report him for his ill-behavior.
This incident occurred about 20 years ago; and I remembered, I suggested to his partner, " your officer needs training in people skill". As far as I could see he's BULLY, disgracing the reputation of majority of respected officers in Hawaii.
In conclusion, this present situation of "G. Floyd is a nightmare; collage of many terrible decisions, from meticulous selections of quality police trainees, and careful well-balanced teachers, with lack of insightful training manuals, and lack of indiscriminate and objectives overseers of both trainees and their teachers on ALL levels. And worse yet was this selectivity of how, to whom, when the LAWS should be applicable. Too, too, much preferentials of to whom the law should be applied... When there's a gross lack of auto self discipline and respect for the Constitution and or even to God is not applicable for ALL, then follows Confusion, breakdown, and Choas... We are all guilty!
Seeing these officers in NY, in the potential explosion of a possible riot...I felt saddened, they are foot-soldiers trying to prevent more chaos, while those who are the responsible ones are "spouting off BS blames and criticisms like BIDEN (the snake) and many others... They are part of criminals who created this mess!!!
Do us ALL A MAGANIMOUS FAVOR... just admit your wrong doings and give constructive suggestions or just "SHUT THE FRACKING POWERLESS WORDS"...
Most of the leaders at present and past who still barely living ARE ALL TO blame!!!

As a black male, originally from Chicago, now living in Europe (Prague), one of the more peaceful cities in the world, it makes all that more poignant. I can't say "am I next?" But I can say, I been there, when you think you might not make it out of that situation. Shame that it such a normal part of life.
Oh yes, human rights are universal and international (see Hong Kong), but it is the definition of those rights that concern me. But that, is a conversation for another day.

To say "I joined said crime group because of racism" is wild, especially when there's so many efforts to intervene with teenagers that have unfortunate circumstances placed on them. I personally work in a job that is normally full of white people, yet almost everyone is black, and they are humane and good people who don't blame others for any misfortune. And they lead by example, rather than put the blame on others, everyone playing the victim card needs to be better than this. This isn't me denying the existence of racism, this is me saying we just have to rise beyond stereotypes. This is literally coming from a person who was almost shot in an all black neighborhood in the Bronx for a measly 2 dollars in his pocket at the age of 12 by two black assailants. I think the tone of the officers is very important. Keeping their own voice is calm and level impacts the hearers. Once they start sounding stressed and impatient it tends to agitate the crowd
