I think the party is pretty much destroyed. The Trumpists aren't very happy with them certifying Biden's election and I wouldn't count on them coming out to vote for their candidates in 2022 and 2024 unless Trump is at the top of the ticket.

Nowhere in his rally speech did he tell them to march into the capital building to save his Presidency. He essentially brought a bunch of Trumpers together to show Republicans he was the face of the party and voting against party lines would cost them reelection. I quote "But we’re going to try and give our Republicans, the weak ones, because the strong ones don’t need any of our help, we’re going to try and give them the kind of pride and boldness that they need to take back our country." What is happening with Democrats is they are essentially playing word salad on something that would be thrown out anywhere were sense is applied. If they choose to impeach a sitting president for something like this they will attempt to impeach Kamala or AOC in the future for similar reasons.

The totals were 232 in favor and 197 not. All of the ones NOT in
