I had to shop for groceries earlier, nearly everyone had a mask on, but there were at least ten who had taken theirs off and showed no regard. I realize I can only control my actions, but really is it that difficult to wear one???
If women on the whole can wear bras every day, all day, everyone should be capable of wearing some form of face covering for however long they are in public. Imo.
I do not even step into the grocery store anymore. I just order online and pick up.

UK hospitals are prioritizing younger people since they have limited supply of oxygen. US hospitals may have to start doing that as well.
It will be hard for families knowing that their senior loved ones won't be given the help and care they need due to low supply.
I would be surprised if such decision are not already widespread. We're talking about pretty much the worst response in the world and an absolutly broken healthcare system.

In Los Angeles even the Hospital Cars are turning away sick patients. This has been a huge mess at every level..

Well that is good. It would be bad for something bad to happen to you. In fact a lot of people will not even know they caught the virus because it is asymptomatic in a lot of people, meaning they have no symptoms and just infect others. Unfortunately 370k people did have something bad happen to them. A lot more than that actually since many who survived the more severe episodes of the virus have long term side effects.

The entire world is struggling with it and unless there is some grand global conspiracy involving countries that are on bad terms working together, the information we have on COVID and it's impact comes from many sources.
All medical professionals should b treated as heroes and lifted on high for they r angels here on earth.
I'm from Aus and to see this, it is heartbraking, not to mention the deaths from other illnesses, that do not get the attention because of this disaster. I think countries around the world who could ration some of there allocated vaccines, should do so to make sure these people have the qty required, i'm hoping that the distribution plan is working, as this may be one of the biggest hurdles. We need to help these people urgently!!!

im in china. every hospital has a seperate building away from the main hospital to test covid patients. certain hospitals are designated for covid and others are designated for normal stuff so everyone can have their needs met. my city of rizhao only has one case. i've got a friend in south africa. theyre just letting covid patients shop up at any hospital. i dont understand why they don't just designate a hospital for covid. it's embarassing watching what going on back at home in the states.
It isn't just beds. It is a matter of staffing. America is running out of medical personnel to tend to the sick. The fact it is so wide spread makes it difficult for them to get help from other parts of America too in the places where the virus is hitting worst.

4 people I know tested positive. 2 of them showed symptoms. They both lived with and were around other people, yet non did other got it. The other 2 were also around people who never caught it and showed no symptoms. The only thing they had to go off of was the positive test
Family friend lost someone to cancer and the primary cause of death was Covid with no reason to believe it actually was Covid.

That's really the only thing that's gonna stop this. Vaccines are ok for pushing down already decreasing levels of infection but they're not gonna stop this. I'm serious, every disease we vaccinate for was already in rapid decline with falling mortality rates. It helped expedite what was happening anyway. This virus isn't going anywhere until most of us are immune at one time. Even catching it doesn't guarantee you won't get it again. I've caught it 3 times that I'm certain of. I'm not reacting to it anymore but not many people have crappy lungs that won't let them wear a mask and can't avoid exposure. I honestly don't think there is persistent immunity with this unless you're constantly reexposed. I think if I went 6 months without seeing it I'd catch it bad all over again.

Close to 100% percent of the population that is engaging in activities where the virus can spread will get it if the current rates continue. However, a large percentage of Americans aren’t engaging in activities where the virus can spread.

nope. im american living in china. i watched with my own eyes all of this unfold. even when china told the world that the virus can spread person to person , even after italy got hit hard, flights kept coming in to the states. countries kept their borders open. people continued to travel. while we were locked down here it was on the news 24/7. american media only talked about their petty politics. china didnt do this. people did this. i called home to my family in nyc. i told them to get ready but they didnt listen. they didnt believe that the virus and masks and lockdowns would ever reach them. even now i have some family who believe its just a flu, or a hoax. american culture did this.
