    I appreciate the pod and you guys always do such great work. The one thing I disagree on is it's obvious KD has always been a JF1 megafan, but it seems like he thinks Justin has a top 5 QB in the NFL ceiling, which I don't think anyone outside of Chicago and maybe now Pitt thinks. This will be a huge upgrade at the position and help us in the contract timeline. I wish Justin well on the Steelers, but this was a no-brainer for the Bears.

    • @deputyfeelgood
      @deputyfeelgood 개월 전 +1

      Yea I agree it seems JF1 megafans seem to forget or not want to see. It wasn’t just he had bad WR, Mooney was open a lot this year and JF1 didn’t see it. These WR were open and JF1 didn’t look their way until it was too late.

      @@deputyfeelgood I think the NFL has made it pretty clear how they see JF. His OC got another job immediately, Mooney got a pretty solid contract & JF went for a 6th/4th.

      It seems to me fans like you all seem too caught up in the fact there are individuals who believe in Justin Fields as a QB and overall talent. Two things can be true Justin can be a Top QB and it may have been time to move on from him. Justin Fields was mishandled by the Bears pure and simple, and while it seems a good faction of the league sees him as a backup, most QB's that come into the league are mishandled and careers are ruined by teams rather than developed.

      @jontelmurphy5996 everything u said is garbage. U either have it or u don't. Great players MAKE THOSE AROUND HIM BETTER. They find a way. If u need a perfect situation for success then ur not as good as u appear. Justin had problems beyond the team around him. It was his inept processing and slow release. He had trouble seeing the middle of the field. This has nothing to do with anything else.

      Well they just signed Keenan Allen and that TE (forget his name), they added depth at the O-line and they’re drafting a QB at 1. It’ll be interesting to see what they do with the 9th pick. They also used their top pick last year on an offensive lineman. They tried (failed) to add a receiver in Claypool mid-season last year. Poles has done quite a bit with this offense

    This is a typical cover your butt move for Poles. He knows drafting a quarterback (however ill advised) gives him an extra year or two to keep his job. This interview was still insulting because I believe Justin gives this team the best chance to win. I see the Bears regressing next year with 5 wins. Starting a rookie quarterback is almost always 3 steps back. I love the trade for Allen and wish we could have seen Justin with a few weapons rather than 1 NFL caliber receiver.

    Don't trade draft picks. Learn how to evaluate talent. Hire a scouting staff and consultant to actually go college football games during the season and see the talent on the field.
