Mark is 100% correct here. Smoothie is more "experimental" considering it's a Dream song and not a 127 song. Having Unknown still gives that refreshing youthful and hopeful tone. Not to mention Dream's audience (for the most part) consists of a lot of people who are going through life with uncertainty and unease as they grow older. Having Smoothie is like "it's okay to try new things and take a chance" and then Unknown is like "but it's okay if you're afraid to do those things you got this keep your head up" and that's always what Dream has been about. Mark knows his audience and understands Dream's concept perfectly. Leader indeed

마크가 확실히 팬들이랑 대중 반응을 가장 잘 이해하는듯…. 박스는 호불호가 너무 심함ㅠㅠ 대중이 드림한테 기대하는 건 고래, 오르골, 북극성같은 이지리스닝적인 곡임 (실제로도 타이틀보다 더 바이럴되기도 한 듯) 박스를 선택하면 팬들만 보는 무대가 됐을 뻔 했는데 언노운 좋은 선택이라고 봄

솔직히 시즈니 입장으로도 봤을 때 드림이들이 수록곡이 엄청 예뻐서 뜬게 더 크긴 하지…. 모든 노래가 정말 좋긴 하지만! 내 친구들도 헬로퓨처가 뭐임? 하면서 오르골은 알고 맛은 뭐임? 하면서 고래는 또 앎…. (슬프당…..) 그만큼 노래가 이쁘니까 뜬건데 마크가 진짜 똑똑한 거임 팬들을 위해서 대중들을 위해서 예쁜 노래를 생각하고 의견을 낸거니까 드림이들이 마크를 믿고 따르는 이유를 알겠음 마크 의견 잘 따라주는 드리미들도 너무 멋져 이번 활동도 행복하게 하자 사랑해💚

언노운한거 진짜 잘 한 선택임. 당장에 멜론 댓들 들어가보면 스무디 말고 언노운이 미니의 타이틀이었어야 이 앨범의 마무리가 완벽했었다라는 반응부터 일단 팬들도 언노운을 가장 좋아함. 숨을 커플곡으로 했으면 캔디때 졸업과 너무 겹치고 박스를 택했다면 디기리와 겹쳤겠지. 언노운같은 커플곡 단 한번도 없었음.

i'm not even a big nct dream fan or anything, i have some songs of theirs that i like and i just stumbled across this video somehow but i want to say mark really got a lot of respect from me for this. he went into this knowing what the best option was and was able to succeed in convincing the majority but the most important part to me is how he's focused more on the quality of the music that reflects their career up until now than what would make a few seconds of the song go viral or the performance, which is already more of a important factor for the title song. i really respect that a lot, as someone who values music quality over trendiness and who knows how nowadays many groups don't care about the quality and are more drawn to making something go viral, and i really love how he did not waver at all and his beliefs and trust towards his music is so strong. i just listened to unknown and it's a great song, i'm 100% with him (and now i'm gonna go play the song multiple more times)

He even consider Breathing and Box because these songs are suggested by others despite Carat Cake being his personal choice. When he was conflicted with the performance for Unknown, he specifically asked how they would interpret it. Even made the others laugh (esp CL and JM) along the way and even had fun vibing around with RJ. When JS had a thought he listened and explained to him camly how people watch shows nowadays. In turn, JS agreed with him. I love also how Haechan carries himself with so much knowledge and confidence. People see it as something bad goodness, we need more people like him who are straightforward and goal-driven. And no, it doesn't make him shallow that he's after trends/virality of the song. i'm so happy mark fought for unknown with everything he had. it's my favourite track on the album and it made me so happy when i learned they were gonna promote it alongside smoothie. the entire album is absolutely incredible so i would've liked any of the other tracks but unknown just has that special something about it
