1:31 I'm an Italian guy and when I saw this moment of the scene was just beautiful. What he's saying is "Mangia figlio mio, che cresci" (Eat son so you'll grow up) and that's a beautiful insight of an Italian expression often used by mothers and sometimes from fathers. In Italy, even when you're old, you parents will always say this thing to show you their affection and the fact they care for you. His character here is still taking care of his disciple, his metaforic "son", by inviting him to eat in order to "grow up". Scorsese, Leone, Kubrick, all these legendary directors are characterized by their attention to details like this. Sometimes even small talk or apparently unimportant phrases can hide a great insight of a culture or a character's development.

LMFAO, they were aged from Prosthetic Makeup, wigs, etc. AND NOT CGI! , I love when YT KIDS try to make themselves seem so important and have knowledge before knowing anything about the post they have just shared! LMFAO
It (cgi) was ONLY used for De-Aging which IMO was horrible to start with! The aging program/ process is a totally different concept regarding software.
      I loved the movie regardless.

Im currently staying with my grandparents, who are in this stage of life, during my winter break. This is the best portrayal of elderly age that i know of. Not having the capacity to fully enjoy things you once enjoyed, not having the strength to do simple things like you used to, and more often then not, not being as mentally capable as you once were. Losing those things gives you anxieties you never thought you would experience. These two legends performed the way they did really did a service for those who dont understand that

When Bufalino says that Jimmy was a good man, and that he has a nice family, it was so heartbreaking man.. This scene powerfully shows the ruthless and brutal world of the Mafia: They truly liked Jimmy but still killed him, just because Jimmy would not give in and fight for his principles. I never saw a movie where they depicted the Mafia how they really were. Even if you played by the rules as a Mobster, you still could get whacked (Dorfman, Sally Bugs). And when they got old, they realize the devastation they left behind, and all the people they hurt. They wish they could feel remorse, but they are not even capable of that. A masterpiece.

Yes but don't be sympathetic to Jimmy, this movie paints him in too good of a light, he was one of them. He had the mob in the unions since he was still rising in the ranks and he was using the union dues that every hard trusting working was paying to invest in mob activities, crime, schemes, and commit fraud. He tried to bribe the jury ffs. The man was a mob associate but turned on them when they got into a disagreement.

All the scenes of everyone getting older and dying is hard hitting reality. A reminder that no matter who you are, you will wither away and die. How much power or money you had will matter so little. Nature takes us all, and its up to us to decide to take the path that will have us withering peacefully or in a prison cell/alone.
