The Prom follows Dee Dee Allen (three-time Academy Award winner Meryl Streep) and Barry Glickman (Tony Award winner James Corden) are New York City stage stars with a crisis on their hands: their expensive new Broadway show is a major flop that has suddenly flatlined their careers. Meanwhile, in small-town Indiana, high school student Emma Nolan (newcomer Jo Ellen Pellman) is experiencing a very different kind of heartbreak: despite the support of the high school principal (Keegan-Michael Key), the head of the PTA (Kerry Washington) has banned her from attending the prom with her girlfriend, Alyssa (Ariana DeBose). One of the movie's redeeming qualities is the colorful palette it is given. The costumes are so gorgeous.

Alyssa and Mrs Greene had the best wardrobe, I love how they wear almost all the time something pink, don't know if that was on purpose
I think it might have been. They could have worn it because pink is seen as a “feminine” color. Mrs Greene wanted to wear it to look traditional and Alyssa wore it for her mom

Some of Emma's outfits looks like something out of doctor who and I LOVE IT. It's like the mix of the 11th and the 13th doctor's outfits
