this movie was made during covid theres many reasons plus he didn't even look in shape and he probably left the acting career behind him to spend time with his girlfriend
Well since the movie was focused on the kids and not really the parents, Robert did talk to Lautner about returning but he'd still wear the shark mask and didn't have any lines still. He didn't want that negative attention on him or waste his talent for a silent role, but it doesn't stop him from returning for a sequel if there is a bigger role.
My favorite part is when gubby said my mom is lava girl and my dad is shark boy but instead of lava i work with water

I’ve seen this movie twice on Netflix! It was actually pretty good! Even though the kids stole the spotlight in this one, I really hope we see more of the adult Heroics in the sequel, particularly Sharkboy and Lavagirl! I even did a video recently about me sharing some of my ideas that I think the writers should take into consideration!
I personally think the movie was awful. The superheroes could easily have their faces wiped against the floor by iron man. Miracle Guy is a knock off Superman, and the plot and ending was stupid
