NFLX pushed the genre, but is just a relatively small portion of the pie now. There is likely 10x the money being spent on content from 5+ years ago.
I love kdramas but I hope they can add more Jdramas too. Thereโs barely any on Netflix and they seem to be only adding anime. I wish people could see how good Jdramas are so they can get more attention and Netflix will realise they should add more.

@@rachelcookie321 Japanese dramas don't translate well. You have to be immersed / familiar with Japanese culture to understand what is going on.
While Korean dramas have some cultural references, the themes are way more relatable across different societies.

I truly wish that they have somehow managed to make annarasumanara a good series. The webtoon is great, but it relies mostly on the unique artwork. The series has a great cast and an interesting original source, just hoping that they have made it work.
Since most of Netflix original kdramas are good i have my trust on sound of magic...
