This movie was better than the second one. It was a beautiful ending to the series. People may view Peter as being obsessive and uncaring towards Lara for not choosing only Standford, but I saw it as a realistic depiction of how it feels to be that situation. In the end, he still came around and you see that he feared abandonment from Lara Jean like his father. Overall, I loved it!

@cat man do That's not a problem though. That's just life, you sometimes have to choose yourself over someone else because that is what's healthy. Lara Jean is (was) a senior (17-18) deciding on one of the toughest decisions a person has to make at that time, THANK GOD the movie didn't spread the message of holding your entire future on a man/partner. That would've been irresponsible. The movie admitted several times how they were not sure if their relationship was even gonna last, and EVEN if she went to Stanford, there's no guarantee that they would have stayed together and she would have just been stuck at a school that she did not like. I won't disagree with you that certain dialogue and scenes were cringy, but it's like why would you watch all three movies since its been like this since the first movie? As a person who also gone through trouble choosing colleges, sometimes seeing a campus in person will really affect your decision making.

No this the worst one, because it this point the whole they break up and get togheter is just repetitive and boring, and i didn't feel like there was something interesting or any real action in this third one, while the other 2 had something interesting,really kept you interested and wanting to watch the movie through the end, i couldn't stand this one, i got bored very quickly and couldn't wait for the end
why does every single character in these YA book adaptations always end up getting into ivy leagues despite doing absolutely no school work and spending the entirety of their movies either pining of a boy or concocting some fake dating scheme??

Well it tries to push that reality that a lot of high school teens have, that they will get into schools regardless of the level. Sometimes it's because of the personality, i.e. geeky kid thinking he's going to get into MIT or CalTech just because he's geeky... yeah, nope! Or someone who grows up in the San Francisco bay area thinking UC Berkeley is going to take them because they're local, or Stanford, just because they applied. State schools that typically accept you if you got a C average or better, just don't seem as fancy and they're "fall back schools" where the reality is those are the only types of schools people can get into.
It's extra annoying because I remember in the books that their top choice was a state school (I think it was UVA)! Like normalize other schools besides the Ivies please💀

It’s not like that in the books!!! Peter gets into uva on a lacrosse scholarship, and Lara jean doesn’t even get in there. She gets into three other school, two near uva and one in North Carolina, but she picks UNC cause she really loves the college. It’s about how their relationship works out, are they going to try long distance? Stuff like that. It’s really nice you should read it.

Sorry, but Seoul is not exactly like this movie shows. She also only got to go to places in Seoul. Korea is much bigger than Seoul. I wish movies didn't just glorify everything(but that's what movies do). I don't know if Seoul will ever look like scenes from this movie again, especially after COVID. Many of the places shown in the movie are dead or dying now. Almost everything is gone and it is really sad. I hope if you ever do get the chance to visit Korea you will be able to see the lively exciting side of it. It is a great place to visit and explore.

I watched this today and I loved it! It definitely gets me in the feels of love that’s for sure. The ONLY issue that I had with it was the fact that we never found out what happened after they both went to college. They should’ve done a 5 years later flash forward.
As someone who's read the book already, I can tell this story is pretty different, and I'm looking forward to it because no one really knows how everything will turn out. Yes, they did expose the fact that she doesn't get in, but the main question of most films is "Will and how our couple be able to survive the obstacles life throws at them?" and that's why I think that even though I've read the book, this movie is 100% worth watching.

Can we just relate how the stories are kind of the similarity between this and kissing booth? For the first movie of both the girl likes the guy but has some type of roadblock to getting the guy but ultimately gets the guy at the end. In the second movie for both, both the girls get their crush which is now the boyfriend. BUT THEN ANOTHER BOY COMES INTO THE STORY... they do something together, the girl then ditches her boyfriend and goes with the other guy, but then eventually fixes things up and goes back to her original one true love boyfriend. Also not to mention the movies were made the same year sooo.......... I FREAKING LOVE ALL THE MOVIE.

Why does this feel nostalgic? It feels like such a long time ago, I still remember screaming my head off when I got the notification for this trailer
i see the comments abt the prestigious colleges and how their names are just thrown around (don't even get me started abt kissing booth), but lara didn't get into stanford right? when i saw that part, i was so relieved (sort of didn't make sense since she seemed smart and looked like she cared abt school a lot but whatev) its show a small glimpse of how difficult that period of college apps and acceptances is and i completely appreciate as soon who just got into college
That’s not the point, the point is that people applying to ur Stanford’s pretty much all have 4.0s.... Stanford has a 4.4% acceptance rate, and that’s not only with people in America, that’s from geniuses world wide. Most people who apply to Stanford with perfect scores and stellar extracurricualars (much better than what Lara Jean had done with the elder care place- though that was still really nice) and even if Kavinsky was a stellar athlete, that’s simply not enough. Athletes at Stanford are also freaking geniuses with 4.0 GPAs, and the series has portrayed him as someone who doesn’t really care about his studies. The problem is that when geniuses who are much more deserving of a spot don’t get in, it hurts them much more when all these students who have dedicated much less time to applications get in. And it creates a lot more stress for teenagers when applying where they feel like they are sorrunded with media of people in elite colleges, making it seem more like a requirement for them to get in. I actually really liked the books because they didn’t make Lara Jean and kavinsky apply to elite colleges, but to UVA and Mary and Williams instead WHICH ARE STILL INCREDIBLE SCHOOLS. At the end of the day, Lara Jean was still very happy where she got into! University is much more about the experience than the name and people from smaller colleges still go on to achieve incredible feat (like cmon Armstrong was from Purdue etc etc)... it was really unnecessary for them to change UVA to Stanford, the message of Lara Jean is the same either way without creating these huge pressures and unrealistic expectations of elite colleges...
heres why it may not make sense that lara didnt get in and kavinsky did.
first off kavinsky is an athlete and a good one too. that already boosts his application by a lot. second he is white. okay im not trying to be racist its just how the system is. im not saying it makes it easy but it makes it a whole lot easier. as a white male too, hes compared against other white males applying to the college and fortunatley for him his chances are better.
as for lara, shes an asian american which is a very tough catagory. she is compared against other asian american females and it is not easy. statistically asian americans need to do 20% just to get on the same level as someone like kavinsky.
also not trying to be racist or throwing around privilege or anything. so keep in mind when applying to college. you are compared against your demographic so be sure to know where you fall and find out how competitive it is.

I know it is just entertainment so I guess I should cut the writers some slack, but Stanford... really? Why do so many protagonists in Netflix teen romance movies get into top universities in the US without any evidence of outstanding academic capabilities? Harvard, Stanford, Yale... really? This is just setting very unrealistic expectations for teens who are not familiar with the college application and preparation process. I would be surprised if any of them actually get into Berkeley.

You are 100% correct. It's always Harvard or Stanford or something lmao. They should make it more realistic. Caring about your grades like Lara Jean doesn't automatically mean you're going straight to Stanford, it's way more complex than that. I wish these kinda movies were more realistic in that respect. @@ivykester4596 it’s the throwing famous school names around. it’s not awful or anything, but a tad irritating cuz like...what’s wrong with the original school from the books? nothing! but they changed it cuz “woah, stanford” and they wanna make the characters seem really smart or sumthn. don’t even get me started on the kissing booth- no way in hell that dude got into harvard with his history of getting into fights and it was never alluded to that he worked hard enough for that shit, but he’s gotta be smart cuz why not 😛 kinda downplays how hard it is to get it. at least in this story the mc doesn’t easily get in, so that’s good but changing the school name was uncalled for.
literally the book was very good because it accurately depicted the unpredictably of college decisions. peter guy accepted into uva for lacrosse but lara jean, who had better stats, did not. ughh they have to ruin everything

A heartfelt and satisfying end to the trilogy. Lara Jean and Peter‚ their love evolves into something so great I just can't help but ship them so much. I absolutely LOVED the first movie just like everyone else‚ was quite disappointed with the second part but enjoyed watching this one.
What makes this movie so appealing is‚ everything feels so real and accurate‚ the thing that's missing in most of the teen movies out there. You cry‚ you laugh‚ and most importantly you learn. LJ and PK and Kitty are undoubtedly my Forever Favorites:")

I remember reading the book, and her not getting into the college of her dreams made me sooo emotional for some reason. All these fictional characters go to Harvard or Yale, or some other Ivy school and Lara Jean picked something more discreet and still didn't make it. She's smart, responsible, interesting, but that shit happens and it's such an important message to send out.
