      I like to think that Netflix and/or David Attenborough made a conscious decision to do that to try and signal boost the episodes specifically because of the importance of the message. Lots of people, including me, love nature documentaries (especially those by Attenborough) because they're soothing and an escape, so it's understandable many of us shy away from learning about some of the grim realities behind the scenes. It's easy to come away from some docs with the impression that the world is overrun with wilderness and wild creatures. Telling people how bad things really are and that they have to change is a harder sell. Making a series that squares up to reality without flinching and also is willing to sacrifice ad revenue to encourage people to watch makes me respect everyone involved that much more.

We ourselves will have to make constant efforts to preserve our mother nature. Only then will the plants, the animals and we humans survive.

      I'll do ya one. I'm really interested in future research of the ecology of Chernobyl. It is completely uninhabitable for humans, and yet loads of plants and animals are doing what we can't. Thriving there. My only question is: HOW???? What is it that allows them to do that? I remember in school (a long time ago, for me) I read that scientists were expecting massive, probably fatal, mutations among any population of animals that moved in (plants adapt easier, I think). It's probably still far too early to tell anything, but damn if it isn't intriguing.

    I hiked through a part of New Mexico that had been burned from wild fires. It’s amazing how they recover. The husks of charred wood still stood despite the fire years ago, but saplings were slowly taking their place. Grass and bushes ruled the floor as they soaked up the sun whilst the trees took their time to regain their footing. One day it’ll be covered in aspens, but until then we wait.

      Anyone who has spent a couple years in nature understands that there is no "final death" and as such any damage to an ecosystem is temporary, it is a self sustaining system that veers towards balance, if humans thrive too much and displace too much nature (it's hard to say when that line is crossed) humanity would experience consequences that reset the balance. As such I think it is ignorant to panic about damage to ecosystems, we should all do our best to preserve what we find beautiful, but there is nothing to panic about. When nature is too damaged, we will die first, and nature will rearrange itself in to new shapes afterwards. There is nothing to worry about.

      Ok, that was certainly not evident. But shouldn't it work in reverse? If 2017 Wikitext intends to take the place of the classic Wikitext, it should work the same and use the same mental mode. This means treating wikicode as plain text, thus copy/pasting from an external window should default to pasting plain text. Having CTRL+SHIFT+V to paste formatted text (generating the wikicode for the format) is a nice addition, but it can't be the default.

Like I can literally spend hours watching and marveling the amazingly complex ecosystem and the beauty of nature. I sincerely believe all should watch this video, and only on the big TV screen, not ipad or mobile phone. After watching for a couple of minutes, one feels that one is actually not watching but present at the spot. David takes us from the Siberian forests to the Western Ghats of India to the forests of Madagascar. Wow, such a vast canvas in such a short span of less than an hour. At 17.15, David mentions that it is 700 degrees celsius? How is that possible? May be there is an error in the narration...

    The message is simple. Not only animal kingdom is endangered by our greed by destroying there habitat but we also are causing our own destruction! By destroying forests we will inevitably be full of remorse but it won't be enough. So save forests, it's what we need, what our enivornment needs. BTW the drone pics and viedo quality was amazing, the harmony depectited of nature and how seemingly choas brings in life is pretty amazing, the fight for prey, the unending struggle of life.

      Exactly, the previous generation set us up extremely badly, and by how we’re treating the planet now, we probably won’t stop the mistreatment until it can’t be undone and the earth will become a barren wasteland, which is the burden we’ll be putting on future generations which is not fair at all and is why we all need to contribute now to the rejuvenation of the planet by reducing our carbon footprint, turning to more natural ways of producing power like wind turbines and solar panels instead of nuclear power plants that dump their waste into the ocean
      These are the kind of things governments need to put more effort into !

      Kid, your cry is nothing new. Let me bring you up to speed. It's not everybody that is causing the destruction it's just a 2% minority who is in control of 98% of society. Bankers, federal reserves, they are the ones causing destruction by printing monkey money and do not understand the meaning of sustainable living or limited resources.

    • @goognamgoognw6637

      @@Lana-pf1ho Little girl, you have a lot to learn. Wind turbines are deadly for many birds who did not evolve to go around them and fly straight into death. Second, nuclear plants do not dump anything in the ocean. When that happened in Fuckushima it was due to tsunami and an accident that can easily be avoided by accounting for that scenario in construction. Actually nuclear plants are by far the cleanest of all source of energy. They don't cause CO2 increase in the atmosphere. Today the only issue is the treatment of nuclear waste. The problem is bankSters controlling government and brainwashing people through media monopoly.

    • @noswad86
      @noswad86 3 년 전

      @@goognamgoognw6637 your comments are just wrong. the amount of birds killed by wind turbines is tiny, they turn that slowly that the majority of birds can avoid them. wind turbines are responsible for bird deaths in the few thousands where for context domestic cats are responsible for the death of around 50million birds in the uk alone and in the US and Canada it is around 2.4 billion so the single biggest threat to birds from humans is domesticated cats. also nuclear isnt the cleanest form of power by far at all. it is cleaner than most but it still has the problem of nuclear waste which makes wind turbines, solar panels and tidal power much cleaner. there is also the construction of a nuclear power station, which uses masses of concrete and isnt clean at all. so before you tell someone they have a lot to learn, learn something yourself first
