The mask they are wearing is based on Hahoetal, a wooden mask worn by us Koreans during a traditional dance or a festival. I love the masks' modern looks with that white color, while also having a Guy Fawkes vibes.

If I hadn't watched the original, I'd have loved it. As much as it's a spin-off, I think the original still carries the day. It was awkward when they retained the original plot including the names of the characters. Couldn't watch it past the first episode but it's great for someone who has never watched the original Money Heist...

I have the same problem with it. It's just not as entertaining to watch when u know everything that is going to happen... as it could have been... But then, that's why it's called remake (not spin-off actually) and even tho I will watch it because Korea makes great series/movies

I've watched Kim Ji Hoon (Denver) for the first time when he acted in "flower of evil " and trust me when I tell y'all that he's one of the most underrated actors out there, I'm so glad to see him getting a chance to shine again.
Baek Hee Seong, indeed. Even though his character was only truly developed halfway through the story, he still manages to be one of the most, if not simply “the most”, memorable character in the series.
Oh man I'm excited to see him act in this. He acted so well as Baek Hee Song.

If I remember correctly he picked a few unsuccessful projects which caused him his popularity, his villainous appearance in flower of evil drew the attention back to him n hopefully this drama will be able to regain back his popularity. He looks hello sexy with long hair

Korea movie/tv industry has a history on making their drama as theirs, even if it's a remake. As if a singer covers a song, a very good singer would sing it like it's his own. Can't wait for this to come out..

Im curious to watch it but there is something about La Casa de Papel that is very hard to recreate in my opinion - the way it showcases the culture in the way they are, fight, love, etc. I guess it will be different in different cultures but it was such a relatable show

I didn’t expect much from this drama but after finishing all of the episodes I am dying for more eps!!! Like excuse me? It’s so good??!! It’s quiet different from the original show but this Korean version’s uniqueness would be Korea being united. Not only does JEA show the reality of North Korea and the fate of the people who attempts to escape North Korea, it also shows us Korean culture, as well as moral and deep messages. Words cannot express how good this show was!!! People who enjoyed watching the original money heist should definitely give it a try like I did!! Many will regret if they don’t watch this show!! PLZZZ when is S2 coming out??!!!
I'm a big fan of the original series, and I am very very sorry to say (without any mean to offend korean drama fanatics), I couldn't watch this one pass the first episode.

I see some scenes that are very similar to the original La Casa de Papel. The cast is amazing, so as long as this one brings something new, like different plans to make the heist succesful, and surprises the audience, it's a good idea. Otherwise, Netflix should've left it alone.

They shouldn’t have made this a remake but instead a sequel to the original. Say, they were really inspired by the actions of the original and made this a movement in Korea…something like that. They studied every move, every plans that the originals executed and they pinpoint every mistake the OGs made. They could recast some of the OGs like they’re watching the TV showing whats happening in Korea.

I think K dramas are the only necessary ones to remake a fantastic show like Money Heist cause they have such good storylines so I feel this will be good even if they’re doing things slightly differently, I connected to the OG characters so much I wonder if I’ll feel the same here, losing Nairobi really got to me when I first saw that scene😔I miss them
Best part is that they're not re-hashing the same story. Completely new characters and it will be according to Korean culture. It would have been disingenuous if they copied it completely (Korean dramas are not overly concerned about sex, it's more plot and character-driven).

I know alot of people didnt enjoy this, but as someone who hasn't watched the original money heist series, this was so good! It kept me at the edge of my seat and i was excited to see how everything would play out. Definately recommend

I’m pretty sure it will be a different plot like how they mostly do in webtoons to kdrama.
I think the Korea version is more friendly to Asian audiences, especially who haven't watched the original, since the historical and geological settings are more familiar compared to the original version. Although the original is better, but the story pace is relatively slower, so for people who want to know the general plot of money heist but do not want to go through all the seasons, the Korea version could be a choice. I personally like the north and south Korea thing in the story cuz you can clearly see how they are different and how this affects the story. They did a good job in localising the story. Plus, the actor of Berlin and Tokyo are well-known by their professional performance, so worth watching.
Except it's not very well received in korea so far either...korean audiences have mostly the same criticisms I'm seeing from non korean audiences. I don't know how it's being received in other asian countries though.

People either love it cause its a good show by itself or hate it because it does copy a lot. I personally loved this cause I am bias having watched a lot of korean shows. Enjoyed it for what it is but the original still stands out top. I definitely think it would've been a well-received show if it didn't resemble the original as much.

Two things I can never replace in the original Money Heist: Berlin's character and Denver's laugh.
Even though its a remake… its a KOREAN remake. Not only do I love Korean Drama/Movies, they’re just good at acting and film-making so im gonna watch it!

I don't typically watch shows like this but Lee Hyun Woo is my one of my favorite actors so I will try to watch it
If you haven't watch the original Spanish version, you will love this one, it's too amazing.
This was fantastic - the writing, acting, the whole underground tunnels, the plan, the plot and the worthiness of the main goal got me from the start. I was glued to it and even screamed at the TV in excitement for some of those tense moments. Everyone was unreal in their capacity to portray their roles and have shown us how great they all are. The underdog you always want to root for them and near the end I just about gave up on them but inside I said - no way- they have to win. It was well executed, the shooting scenes were incredible, the fighting were almost like ballet - a real choreography on legs... amazing. The young man who plays Denver I've seen in other roles and they seems to always be about crazy, emotional and very strong characters. He sure played his sensitive side in this one and that face and those lips are mesmerizing. The women were beautiful and a powerhouse in leading the way for strong roles. Congratulations to everyone involved. You made my tv viewing this week a real interesting, exciting and fun ride. Merci, thank you and gamsahabnida!

Did u see how the heist is really not the heist? This is one thing with Korean drama. They started the hype first eps, then fell flat right after. It’s like we barely on eps 2 and the mobs already fighting each other. I’m like how the hell this genius professor make an elite group trying to rob national bank, and the mobs already fighting each other. Where is the first part where the heist is actually working, like showing team work and team bonding and how each one compliment each other’s role, and how this formidable group carries out the perfect plan? Instead, it became the hunger game right off the bat.
Just finished the show. It was sooooo good!! Every moment kept me on my toes. The characters were perfectly executed. I wish part two could come out soon. 6/28/22

How do u call this amazing? There is really nothing happening to really be called the heist. None of the characters seem to compliment each other and right off the bat, they already hating each other. Tf kind of plan does the professor see when the group he forms can’t even do a simple task. All the characters seem so weak and don’t show much emotion. Disappointed. U need to hype up every kdrama u see.
